Blue Day
Happy Birthday tomorrow to Wyatt Bohr!!!
Drum Roll Please…………The SCW drum line has been
selected to perform at halftime of the 6:00pm game at the Girls Class B State
Basketball Tournament in Huron on Thursday, March 7th. Of course we are Blackhawk Proud!!!!!!
The Lady Blackhawks came out on top of the Lady
Spartans yesterday. Stats for the
varsity 53-32 win were: Tesa Jensen 17 points and 7 rebounds; Megan Poyer 9
points and 10 rebounds; Kaylee White 6 points; Madi Moody 6 points and 3
assists; and Trinity Boschee 4 points and 5 rebounds. JV Ladies won 43-24 with leaders being: Ellie
Voneye 16 points, Trista White 11 points, and Taryn Ziebart 6
points.

(1/27) Girls are scheduled to practice at SC at 3:30 and Boys at Woonsocket at
3:30.
Knights of
Columbus of Artesian will hold their annual Hoop Shoot Competition on Sunday,
January 27th at 1:00 pm in the Sanborn Central gym. Boys and girls age 9 to 14,
must be 9 by January 1st. The gym will be open at 12:30 to start warming up. If
there are any questions call John Bechen at 999-1370.
The 5th
girls traveling team is scheduled to practice at Woonsocket Sunday, January 27th
at 6:00 instead of Monday.
The 6-7 grade band will be performing with the
pep band on Monday, January 28th for the girls’ varsity pre-game. Students are asked to meet in the Sanborn
music room around 5:30pm that night.
JOIN THE FUN!!!!!! The community is also
invited to play with the pep band at the double header on Monday, January 28th.
There is a 4pm rehearsal before the game. Those interested are asked to contact
Miss. West at Janae.west@k12.sd.us.

January 31st-We have
been informed that Corsica-Stickney will be hosting a pork loin feed during the
ball games. Games will start at 4:15 starting with JH boys and JV girls.
The JH Boys will play Mitchell
Christian on Feb. 14 - the night of our basketball doubleheader at Mitchell
Christian. The game will begin at 3:15.
