Tutoring tonight

HS Students: Semester test today...if you are failing any class you must be at school the entire day during semester testing.  You must be present for any class that a semester test is given in.  Teachers may also ask you to attend a class period even if they are not administering a semester test.  Be sure to check with all your teachers and not assume that you don't need to be here.

Good Luck to our JV & Varsity Teams as they travel to Plankinton to take on the Titans! The JV Girls tip off at 4:00 followed by the JVB, VG, and VB. Drumline is scheduled for practice today.

December 20th-School will dismiss at 11:00.  HS and MS students will have fun and games that morning if you choose to attend. December 21st-Friday at the basketball games, the SC Booster Club will hold a dues night for anyone that hasn’t paid their $20 due, the booster club will be collecting dues that night.

December 21st-The B-ball games this night have been declared Jill Reimer night.   If you have a Jill Reimer shirt wear it to show Jill team Blackhawks are cheering for her!

"All you need is love"...or chocolate and roses. The junior class will be selling half pound boxes of fudge (9 flavors and 2 additional sugar free options) and roses for Valentine's Day. They will have five rose packages available this year. Talk to your favorite junior to order yours now! All orders must be placed by January 18th to ensure they arrive in time. Plan Ahead!!!!!

Juniors - South Dakota American Legion (SDAL) Boys State program.  

                The application process is now open until April 1, 2019.  You can access the Boys State

Sports
The pairing are out for the boys and girls holiday classic Friday December 28th (girls) and Saturday December 29th(boys) in Huron. The power lifting team will attend SF Roosevelt State Meet on March 9th

Community
There won’t be any WWTS on Dec. 26 or Jan 2nd, but will resume after Christmas break on Jan. 9th at Artesian First Lutheran from 5:30-6:45 pm.

The Artesian Community Improvement Association will be holding their annual Ham Drawing/Membership Drive on Saturday, December 22nd, 2018 at the Artesian Community Center. Supper will be served at 6:30pm, followed by drawings and a visit from Santa! 
Membership dues are $20 per family and go towards summer youth programs and community events.

The Artesian Community Center kitchen will be undergoing a makeover at the beginning of 2019, including new cabinets, countertops, and appliances. There are several dishes and other kitchen utensils that are no longer used. If you or your family made a donation of any items that you would like back, please contact Kaci Bechen (520-0720). Any items that are no longer used or claimed will be donated prior to the remodel.

If you have completed the required training necessary shooting Sports practice will begin on Sunday, January 6th at 2 pm and regular practice will run 2-6 each Sunday for guns & archery, and 6-9 each Tuesday for guns only. We are also working on adding 22 rifle to our discipline options (must be junior age level or older – ages 11-18).  If you are interested in more information, contact Paula Linke at plinke@santel.net or 605.350.2813.
