Blue Day
Happy Birthday Westen White!  Wylie Bracha will celebrate his birthday tomorrow!
TOMORROW IS EXTRA HELP DAY!!!  STUDENTS WITH MISSING ASSIGNMENTS OR FAILING GRADES ARE REQUIRED TO BE HERE FROM 8:00AM UNTIL 11:00AM.
Parents will be notified this afternoon.

And they’re off……..Marching band is headed to Arlington.  Make memories guys and gals!
No Band or lessons today – 6th report to Mrs. Dawson for study hall – 7th report to the music room for study hall with Mrs. Vermeulen.

Due to the 281 VB Tournament at SC today 5/6th ball has been moved to Woonsocket.  Players will be transported to Woonsocket and returned to Forestburg.

Good Luck to the Lady Blackhawks in the 281 tournament.  We play Iroquois at 6:00 followed by Highmore/Harrold and Wessington Springs.  GO BLACKHAWKS!
The games in Forestburg for the 281 Conference tournament will be streamed on our page. This includes games of the visiting teams. The only issue is we are not creating a game for every different match-up. People will need to go to http://blackhawks.liveticket.tv/volleyball/ to watch their teams play.

It’s ZooMobile Day at SC!!!!  The gym is closed until 1:30.

Tuesday, October 2nd the Junior and Senior Class will be attending Planning Days.  You will leave SC at 8:00am and return around 2:00pm.

Please accept my apologies…….I was informed at the beginning of the week that the Woonsocket Homecoming Parade Winners were: Woonsocket Elementary: 1st place - 4th grade, 2nd place - 1st grade, 3rd place - 3rd grade.  Woonsocket High School - 1st place – Seniors, 2nd place – Juniors, 3rd place – Sophomores.  Sanborn Central Elementary 1st place - Pre-K, 2nd place - kindergarten and first grade, 3rd place - 4th and 5th grades.  Business/Organizations 1st place - Special Education Dept., 2nd place – Dakotaland, 3rd place - Horizon Health

ATHLETICS
Stanley County is hosting a Whopper Feed before the game on Friday at 5:00 pm.  Game starts at 7:00 pm CST

The junior high volleyball tournament in Plankinton on Saturday, Sept. 29 will start at 9:00 (note time change from brackets).  It’s a rolling schedule and we play MVP in the 2nd game.  The JH CBH VB Brackets can be found at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KjfXx8j_wBppHFBfh270bMVu9NZpKU5p/view?usp=sharing

The Lady Blackhawks have earned us the honor of hosting the 281 Tourney on Thursday – we are playing Iroquois at 6:00. MUSIC
The following students will be attending the High School Choral Leadership Workshop at NSU in Aberdeen on Wednesday, October 3rd:  Lucy Nicholson, Tory Reinders, Dayton Easton, Alexis Kelly, Harley Kneen, Shania Cornelius, Leighton Tarbox, and Teagen Swearingen.  The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:00 am and Woonsocket at 6:15 am. 

HEALTH 
Monday, October 15th at 7:45 staff and students will be treated to the Annual Flu Shot Clinic.  The volleyball teams have games that night and the Sanborn County Nurse will return on October 18th to give anyone a shot that didn’t receive it previously.  Forms will be sent home with Pre-K thru 5th grade and placed on lockers for 6th thru 12th.   Forms are due back Thursday, October 4th. BOOSTERS
We are looking for a few people to help in the concession stand on Saturday.  Games start at 1:00 and there will be 4 games.  Even if you would be willing to help for a couple of hours that would be great.  Please contact Ashly (605-770-2221) or Tambi (605-770-3077)

Cancer Awareness Nights
