MS & HS students who have parents attend conferences will receive
bonus points in the class. If your
parent can’t attend conferences, they are encouraged to call or e-mail your
teachers prior to September 20th.
REMINDER for the World of Work Students: Your time
sheet is DUE the first day of each school week to Miss. Ronning by 3:45 PM!
There are several students who have not turned sheets in or checked in with
Miss. Ronning at all. You also need to remember to check into Google Classroom
for any assignments posted on there.
We encourage
parents and students to utilize their portals – a great way to stay on top of
missing assignments and failing grades. If you need help feel free to

We have made an addition
to the JH football schedule. The JH team will be playing Lower
Brule on October 1st in Wessington Springs at 4:30

FFA
The following FFA members have NOT turned in either their
signature pages and/or dues for FFA. Please get these to Miss. Ronning
ASAP! Sam and Casady Dean, Hannah
Dickson, Royce Hunter, Cole Moody, Austin Schmit, Katie Schmit, Cayden and
Tryce Slykhuis, and Leighton Tarbox.
FFA members who do not
have their own FFA jacket and tie/scarf, are encouraged to apply for a
scholarship through the SD FFA Foundation to receive one, please see Miss.
Ronning for the application. Applications are due September 20th.
Crystalyx fundraising packets were sent home with each of the kids,
there were 10 cards in each packet. More are available at the request of
the students. It is important that students bring back ALL
sold and unsold cards - if kids do not bring
back all cards, they owe the chapter $20 per card. The cards and money
need to be turned in by October 8th. Reminder - students who plan on
attending state convention in April are required to sell at least $200
in fundraisers, whether it be Crystalyx cards
or fruit sales.
FFA
parents - we are in need of volunteers to work the homecoming tailgate
and to bake cookies and/or bars for the tailgate on September 21st. If
you are able to help with either, please e-mail Miss. Ronning,
jessica.ronning@k12.sd.usfor more information.
T-shirts
will be arriving on Thursday - if you have not paid yet please do so! You will be able to pick up at parent-teacher conferences.
COMMUNITY
The
Sanborn County Auditor’s and Treasurer’s office will be closed on September 10th and 11th due
to meetings in Pierre. The rest of the courthouse offices will be open.
Dakota Wesleyan is hosting a VB camp
