Blue Day – Tutoring

This week is teacher appreciation week.  Sanborn Central has the very best teachers around!!!  Unfortunately, we often forget to show them the appreciation we have.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard has proclaimed May 7-11 Teacher Appreciation Week in South Dakota, and I want to take this opportunity to extend a sincere thank you to all of South Dakota’s teachers. In my brief time as Secretary of Education, I have most enjoyed the opportunities I’ve had to visit schools across our state. You are doing great things for kids in your classrooms, and I want you to know your work does not go unnoticed.   I know that teachers are keep-your-nose-to-the-grindstone types. And your work is not limited to the classroom. Between advising, coaching, lunch, recess, bus and all those myriad other “duties as assigned,” you might sometimes wonder, am I making a difference? Let me assure you, unequivocally, yes. You make a difference—every day. During this special week, allow yourself some time to pause. Take a look around—at your students, your colleagues and your community. You impact all of them, and they are all better because of you.  Enjoy your week!  Donald A. Kirkegaard - Secretary, South Dakota Department of Education

Our HS Track team is off to the 281 Conference meet and we wish them the best.  Gone are Shania C, Catherine B, Sarah M, Sawyer S, Austin S, Cassidy S, Koby L, Harley K, and Aiden W.
