Blue Day – Tutoring
Tonight is the CBH vs. Cornbelt All-star game at Hanson HS - Girls game 5:30PM and Boys at 7PM.  Representing the Blackhawks tonight Alissa Ball, Abby Doering, Sarah Morgan, Tristan Ziebart, Trent Kingsbury, and Trey Weber. 

MS Honor Roll will be held at 3:00 today.

Winterguard practices at SC today.

Track is at Woonsocket today.

JO 17’s are at SC at 3:30 today.

Play Practice Thursday and Friday.

High school students wanting to order prom shirts need to have their orders in by Thursday, March 22nd at 3:15! The order form is in Mr. Flatten's room. 

Thursday morning staff will be treated to an appreciation breakfast at 7:45.

ACADEMICS
Thursday, March 22nd is senior project work day.  Seniors will need to be here all day (8:15-3:15 but free for lunch) and will not be attending their regular classes.  You will need to be in the HS Lab, Senior Lounge, or with Mrs. Moody.

Interested in Law Enforcement? The South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy will be held June 25 - 29, 2018 (All expenses paid by SDHP and SD American Legion).  Application deadline is March 23, 2018. See Mrs. Johnson for an application. 

 Sophomores & Juniors - Start thinking about what dual credit classes you would like to take fall semester next year. The application opens in April. In order to ensure all paperwork is in order and sent in prior to the end of school we need to have signed paperwork back to me by May 4th. 

ATHLETICS
There will be a golf meeting (Grades 7-12) at 11:20 on Wednesday (tomorrow) in the HS Lab.

Friday, March 23rd there will be a football meeting for all interested players in grades 8-11 at 9:15 in the HS Lab.

FFA
Little I CDEs - Friday, March 23rd - SC @ 9:40 a.m.  Notes: Members are required to bring a clipboard, pencil, calculator for select events, money for lunch.   Katie S, Samantha D, Sarah M, Aiden W, Alex W, and Trent K

MUSIC
Good Luck to our band students as they participate in the Large Group Instrumental Contest in Mitchell tomorrow.  The bus will leave SC at 7:15 and should return by 2:00. Friday, March 23rd at 6:30 in the SC Gym the Winter Guard will do a public show for those interested.
BOOSTER CLUB
The Booster Club will have a meeting on Thursday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm in the commons area at Sanborn Central.  Please submit any items of discussion or requests to Melissa Ettswold at mjetts00@gmail.com

COMMUNITY
The summer baseball/softball forms are due in the office on Thursday, March 22nd.

The 11th Boys WM Tourney info has been uploaded to our Google Drive.

Babysitting Clinic forms are due in the Extension Office on Monday, March 26th.

Bob Steckel (605-579-0120) and Tom Fridley will be hosting a hunt safe course at the Sanborn County 4-H Building April 5th, 6th, and 7th.  This course is open to anyone who will be 12 years old by December 31st.  A signup sheet is available in the office or you can register on-line https://gfpga.sd.gov/outdoor-learning/hunter-education/ClassList.aspx

Tasha Moody, a 2012 graduate, has asked to share this with our community.  What a wonderful gesture and easy to help with!
Freedom Bags -The March Hands and Feet opportunity through Life 96.5 http://life965.com/?p=583670&preview=true ) radio station is hosting an event to assemble Freedom Bags. Freedom Bags are for women who have been a subject of human trafficking. Each bag will include items that will make the woman feel whole again and will give them a start as they transition back into a normal lifestyle. If you feel so inclined to donate any items feel free to drop them off at Amy Moody’s house in Letcher or at the Sanborn Central School Office.
