Congratulations to the KC Hoop Shoot winners yesterday.  Nine year old champions were Miley Adams and Teagen Moody. 10 year old champions were Addyson Baruth and Samuel Baruth. In the 11 year old’s champions bracket, Jaycee Baruth and Evan Easton. The 13 year old division champions were Teya Moody and Brady Larson. Fourteen year old champions were Dayton Easton and Tryce Slykhuis. Each of these winners will compete in the district competition to be held on Feb. 18, 2018 in Howard, SD with an eye toward moving on to the state and international levels.

Congratulations to the Lady Blackhawks who beat Wolsey/Wessington 44-38 to advance to the championship game on Thursday against Hitchcock/Tulare at 6:00.  Leaders: Megan Poyer  12 points,  9 rebounds; Tesa Jensen  11 points; Abby Doering  9 points , 4 rebounds, 3 steals; Madi Moody  4 points, 2 steals; Kaylee White  4 points; Abby Vermeulen and Tristan Ziebart 2 points.

Winterguard will practice at SC today.

With the 7th/8th games Friday vs. Wosley at SC, there will be boys 7th/8th grade practice on Wednesday, January 17th, after school in Woonsocket along with the HS practice for players who can attend. Coach Weber

No play practice tomorrow morning.  Thursday you will practice at 3:15 and Friday at 7:30am.

Mrs. Johnson will be gone Thursday – No counseling.

Just a reminder to all students – if you are waiting for a ride at 3:15 please come to the office or wait in the entrance.  We need to be able to locate you!   Students are not allowed in the gym or locker rooms unsupervised.   Please get permission before going there.

Is your calendar marked?????  A meeting has been scheduled to discuss potential interest for our students currently in grades 6-8, in attending a guided trip to Washing ton DC.  The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 here at school.  The organizers are bringing pizza to the meeting as well.  The dates for the scheduled trip are June 27th-July 1st 2019.  If this opportunity seems like one that you would like your student to take advantage of, and would like more information, please make plans to attend the meeting.
