Blue Day
Just 4 school days until the end of the quarter – are you ready?

Good Luck to the JH FB team as they host Chamberlain in Springs today.  Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 pm.  We will need some help with chains and maybe somebody to do the clock. All JH and HS Wessington Springs players need to be at the gym by 4:00 pm.   Woonsocket and Sanborn Central players will be bused to Wessington Springs after they dismiss from school.

There will be a Character Counts kick off meeting at 3:30 today in the board room.

The 5/6th basketball teams travel to JVC today.  The girls tip off at 6:00 and the boys will follow. Go Blackhawks!

7/8th VB is at SC today and 9/12 at Woony.  NOTE LOCATION CHANGE

Cheer practice is at SC today.

There will be a MS team meeting tomorrow, October 10th at 7:45.

SCHOOL BOARD
The school board meets tonight at 7:00pm. 

JUNIORS
Juniors – Little Caesar forms are due Wednesday at 3:00 to Ms. Farrell-Poncelet.

The Juniors are doing their annual prom fundraising for the year.  They will be selling magazines and many other items online.  So talk to a junior or head to the website gaschoolstore.com choose to shop, type 2520781 for the SC Junior code, type in a junior’s name, and select items you would like to purchase.  Parents: each junior has set a goal of selling 25 products.  If we are able to accomplish this task, we will be done for the year.  For any questions email Mr. Flatten at corey.flatten@k12.sd.us

In addition to the magazine sales, the juniors will also be selling Little Caesar Pizza Kits. Those attending the CBH Conference Oral Interp meet Tuesday, 10th are: Dakota Kidder and Chloe Ruml in Drama-Tater Moody and Aiden Wormstadt in Humorous and Lily Overson and Alexis Kelly in Duet.   You will leave here at 8:00am!

Juniors & Seniors - Start considering what dual credit courses you would like to take in the spring. The classes are up online now at the SDMyLife site. Please let me know when you decide on the class or classes you will be taking. Starting November 20th an online application process will be available and we will start applying then. 

ATHLETICS

The following students will be attending the All-State Chorus prep day at SDSU in Brookings on Thursday, October 12th:  Lucy N, Ellie K, Alexis K, Katie M, Kendra M, Dayton E, Harley K, and Leighton T.  The bus will be departing Woonsocket at 6:15 am and Sanborn Central at 6:30 am.​
