BLACKHAWK FEVER…….Red Cloud comes to Springs for a 6:00pm tip off in Round II of football play offs.  You can kick off the evening with a tail gate party (4:30-half time).  If you are unable to enjoy the excitement live – follow on Q107 or Santel Channel 3.  We do BELIEVE that our football team will bedazzle every one with their talent and be VICTORIUS!!!!!

We wish a weekend full of memories to Lucy Nicholson, Alexis Kelly, Kendra Morgan, and Harley Kneen.  On Thursday, October 26th, the bus will be leaving Woonsocket at 3:45 and Sanborn Central at 4:00 for All State chorus in Sioux Falls (they are gone Friday).  You can watch the live performance Saturday evening on PBS!


5/6th G/B Basketball at Woonsocket tonight.

Mrs. Johnson is gone today – 7th grade will report to Mrs. Farmer during their counseling time.

No VB practice tonight with the FB playoff game.  Practice tomorrow at SC.  No practice on Saturday since we don't play on Monday.  Monday practice at SC.  Tuesday the bus will leave at 3pm from Woony and 3:10 at Sanborn. Play at 5pm in Madison.  We’ve also received word that the Region VB games will be live streamed – more to follow!


ACADEMICS
These students will be gone to District Oral Interp on Wednesday, November 1st: Noah Dickson, Samantha Dean, Katie Schmit, Amber Schelske, Renee Farmer and Madi Moody.

Seniors - Next week (Oct. 30th - Nov. 3rd) is Free College Application Week! During College Application Week, seniors at participating high schools are eligible for up to three free applications to South Dakota postsecondary institutions. Seniors can stop in Mrs. Johnson's office Thursday for useful information, timelines, help on applications, and a snack!  ​​


ATHLETICS
Friday, October 27th the 5/6th basketball teams travel to Ethan.  The 5th girls tip off at 6:00 followed by 6th girls, 5th boys, and 6th boys.

3rd & 4th Boys will practice at 6:00 in Woonsocket on Friday, October 27th.

HELPING
SCEA is working to collect clean, gently used warm coats and winter accessories from now until November 4th. The process is simple: you drop off your extra coat(s) in the box at Sanborn Central and SCEA takes care of the rest. All donated coats will be cleaned and made available for distribution to Sanborn Central students in need.     Mrs. Farmer

Mitchell Wesleyan Church is excited to announce that we will be holding our 2nd Annual Family Fall Blast! Last year’s event was a huge success, with over 1,600 people attending. It is our desire is to continue offering a safe, fun, and family-friendly place to enjoy Halloween in our community, regardless of what the weather is like outside.

Veterans Day dinner Sunday November 12, 2017 at 12pm at the Artesian Community Center.  The dinner is free for veterans and all others we ask a free will donation.  The dinner is sponsored by the Artesian American Legion Auxiliary and Legion.  Please RSVP to Laura Pearson at 605-999-2139 if you are planning on attending.

Veterans pot luck supper sponsored by Tormey-Stach #93, Letcher will be held Sunday November 12, at 6:00 pm. This is for all military present or past, and their families. A short program will be held after supper. Bring a dish to share. Drinks are furnished.
