Orange Day
Happy Birthday June 1st to Kasten Tarbox!

Around 10 a meeting with all students grades 6-11 who expressed any interest in playing in a coop for soccer with Wessington Springs and Woonsocket will be held in the HS Computer Lab.  An all call will be made when it’s time.

Girls practice at SC today and Boys at Woony.

Blackhawk Gear orders are due at noon today.

National FFA Scholarships and Star Candidate Applications are due today.

WWTS meets in Artesian tonight.

Winterguard will practice at 3:45 at SC on Thursday, February 2nd!

The cast and crew of the One Act Play will perform it on Friday, February 3rd at 2:30 for students and staff grades 6-12.  Please dismiss the cast and crew at 2:00.

The news has been full of influenza information and warnings recently.  We have seen confirmed and possible reports of it in our area.  Please be conscientious of others and head the warning signs!

Eligibility will be ran at noon tomorrow!!!!  Campus will also generate e-mails to the parents of students with missing assignments.  Please be sure to check your portal and if you have any problems feel free to e-mail Mary at mary.ackman@k12.sd.us

Change for Saturday’s games with Wolsey/Wessington:  There will be no JV girls game but we will be playing a 7th grade girls game at 1:00 followed by a 8th/9th girls game at 2:00. As of 9:35 this morning we are back to a 2:00 start with 7/8th girls playing followed by JVB/VG/VB

            The boys moved to 10-3 on the year with a 61-43 win over Hanson last night.  Helping were:  Trey—25pts, 1 ast, 2 st    Tater—2 pts, 1 reb, 1 blk    Trevor—3 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast,1 st   Garrett—1 ast   Trent—5 pts, 3 reb, 10 ast, 5 st, 1 blk    Logun—8 pts, 3 reb, 4 st   Shaun—4 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 st   Wyatt—12 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast, 1 st, 2 blk   Noah—2 pts, 3 reb,2 ast   We shot 24/52 FG for 46 % and 8/15 FT for 53 %.  We had 23 rebounds to their 29.  Coach Olson’s comments:  It is always nice to get a win.  It seemed like we were battling to find energy most of the night.  Trey did a good job of getting us a spark and we were able to build some momentum and carry that to a more comfortable lead.  We will get ready for the #2 ranked team in Corsica on Thursday.

MUSIC
​The following high school students will be attending the region vocal contest in Kimball on Wednesday, February 8th:  Madi M, Abby V, Haley Z, Amber S, Chloe D, Karley K, Katie S, Sam D, Alex W, Sawyer S, Cole M, Cayden S, Royce H, Koby L, Noah D, and Quentin S.  The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:30 am and Woonsocket at 6:45 am.  We should be back by approximately 3:30.  Wear concert black, and bring money for lunch.

Sanborn County Food Pantry Program – 5:00 today – Woonsocket Community Center!!
