WWTS meets
in Artesian tonight.
There will
be no Sonshine Club/Confirmation at Letcher tonight. The program is still scheduled for Sunday as
planned.
There will
be no Rock Solid on Wednesday, Jan 4th due to the forecasted cold
temperatures. The next Rock Solid meeting will be held on January 18th
at 6:15pm at the Sanborn Central gym.
Girls
practice at Woonsocket and Boys at Sanborn Central today.
Mr.
Kroeger is sick this morning. There will
not be lessons this morning. If he hasn’t
returned by HS band time, please report to a study hall with Vickie!
ACADEMICS
HS Students have until January 17th to switch classes for
this semester.
There will
be tutoring tomorrow, Thursday - January 5th, after school.
ATHLETICS
The
Blackhawk boys lost a hard fought game last night to #3 rated Bridgewater/Emery
by a score of 54-46 after leading for 3 quarters. Helping the
cause: Wyatt—12 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 1 blk Noah—4 pts, 3 reb,1
blk Shaun—6 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk Jared—2
reb Logun—4 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, 2 st Trent—6
pts, 8 reb, 4 ast, 1 st, 1 blk Trey—14 pts,2 reb,1 ast.
We shot 16/44 FG for 36 % and 8/13 FT for 62%. We were outrebounded
29-27. Coach Olson’s comments: The boys played with a lot of
heart and are disappointed in the outcome. We played very good
defensively holding down one of the hottest teams in the state averaging 80 pts
per game. We played good enough defense to win just could not get much
going offensively the second half scoring only 10 points. We had a lot of
positive moments and will continue to keep improving.
