Blue Day – Tutoring
Notice a bit of Hawaii in the halls?????  It’s cause we are proud to boast that we are going to “Lei Off Drugs” at SC!

HS Student Council will meet with Mr. Flatten at lunch today.

5/6th G/B Basketball will practice at Woony today.  Mr. Gross will be driving the bus so leave your book bags etc in the Ag room please.

Varsity VB will practice at SC today.

Juniors and Seniors will have a presentation at 2:00 today in the Ag Room.

A debate is scheduled for 10:40 November 1st in the SC gym.

ACADEMICS
Gone to Oral Interp on Wednesday, November 2nd are Ethan Johnson, Levi Nicholson, Kyle Zoss, Breanne Brandenburg, Renee Farmer, Madi Moody, Samantha Dean, Katie Schmit, Austin Schmit, Cole Moody and Koby Larson.

The MS Declaim Contest will be held on November 21st - not the 22nd

ATHLETICS
The Blackhawk High School FB players will have a team meeting on Tuesday, November 1st at 4:00 pm at Woonsocket.  It will last about 30-45 minutes.  We really would like to have all HS players at this meeting.  Also, we have not scheduled it yet, but we will be having a Blackhawk Football Awards night sometime in next few weeks at Wessington Springs.  Thanks to all parents for your support of Blackhawk Football. FFA
 Crystalyx Cards sale is coming to close.  FFA Members need to finish up their sales.  Return the stubs of sold cards and the money to Mr. Gross.  If you have unsold cards, they MUST be returned to Mr. Gross to be sent back to the company. November 4th is the deadline.

The famous FFA Fruit/Butter Braid/Popcorn Sales are back!!!!   Contact an FFA member to place your order.  If it is getting close to the deadline (November 2nd) and you haven’t been contacted, please e-mail Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us   You can view an order form at

MUSIC
The Sanborn Central All-State Chorus quartet will be performing in section BB at the Premier Center on Saturday, October 29th.  Anyone interested in attending the concert may download the ticket order form from their website and send it in to the Premier Center Box Office, or they may call them directly to order tickets. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m.  Ticket prices will be:  $19 - Reserved Sections, $14 – Adults, $8 - Students

T-Hugs would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Cancer Awareness Night (especially the players and organizers) for their generous donation.  Without your help we wouldn’t be able to spread our hugs to those undergoing cancer treatment in the area.  Don’t forget – we are always open to more T-shirts!

SDSU is hosting their annual SDSU School Day on Saturday, November 5th as the Jackrabbits host the Missouri State Bears.  Kick off is at 2:00pm.  The school that brings the largest group of fans will win an appearance from SDSU cheerleaders, dance team, and Jack their mascot.  Tickets will be discounted!   Click here for more information.
