Good Luck to the Lady Blackhawks as they host Hanson today with the JH game beginning at 4:00.  It’s Parents Night at Sanborn Central.  The JV & Varsity games will be aired on our Santel Station 107.  If you want a soft serve ladies – stop at Zesto!

We’ve had another revision to the 5/6th Basketball schedule.  Here’s the latest

Don’t forget Marching Band Practice – Wednesday, August 31st in Woonsocket at 6:00pm

On Wednesday, August 31st at 1:00pm Campus will be automatically generating e-mails to the parents of students with missing assignments.   Students - be sure to have everything turned in by Wednesday morning to allow for grading and entering into the system.   Staff - Be sure to mark the assignments as missing.  After the 31st we only have 7.5 days until parent conferences!!!! 

Ag I, II, III, and IV students need to bring $5 to pay for their meal at the Woonsocket Land and Range School.  Please bring your money to Mr. Gross ASAP.

Tuesday – September 6th is the last day for high school students to change classes.

A kindergarten student is missing two sweat shirts (one red with a car on it and one gray) as well as an orange water bottle.  We think they may have been left on the bus.  If you have seen these, please bring them to the office.

Thursday’s Volleyball games will be aired on Woonsocket’s Santel channel 104 and on their High School Cube.  We will post the cube link when we get it.

Q107 will be broadcasting Friday night’s football game with Hanson.  Be sure to thank a sponsor!!!

HOMECOMING- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!!  Sanborn Central will be participating in the Woonsocket Homecoming parade on September 9th.   The parade begins at 1:00 in Woonsocket.  Parent Chaperones are asked to meet their designated grade level/teacher in the Woonsocket School parking lot at 12:30.  You will be assigned a group of students to monitor.  If you wish to pick up your student following the parade in Woonsocket, you will need to complete the form (linked below) and return to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, September 7th.  No form – No exceptions. 

The original calendar indicated that school would dismiss at 12:30 that day.  However, the route busses will not run until we return from the parade.  The estimated time for the route busses to leave here is 2:30. 

High school students will be having activities that morning.  Band students will depart at 11:30 on a bus for Woonsocket.  All band students will be returned to SC by bus after the parade.  Any band student wishing to drive themselves must have written parental permission slips turned into the office by Wednesday, Sept 7th at noon.  Students car pooling must have written permission from both sets of parents. Any student planning on not attending school on the 9th must have written parental permission slips turned in by Wednesday the 7th or will be issued an unexcused absence.

We will be ordering Adult Blackhawk apparel through Fancloth. We tried to get a few things from the last flyer and add a few new ones. We will also be ordering Youth apparel from Whites Screenprinting. Orders will be due to your school by Wednesday, August 31st. Youth Forms will be sent home with the elementary students.  Adult forms are available in the office. All forms can be found on line (see the links below). A second order will be placed on November 1st (additional order forms will not be sent home so please make a copy if you want to place an order at this time).

 BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!  On Wednesday, September 7th, 2016, Sanborn County Food Pantry, in partnership with Feeding South Dakota, will be hosting a truckload food giveaway in Woonsocket, SD. An estimated 22,000 pounds of food will be distributed beginning at 5 PM and continuing until all of the food is gone. There are no restrictions of eligibility – just one box per family!
