Blue Day – MS/HS Tutoring
Tonight’s
games in Hanson – in the Auditorium at 4:00 the C Boys will play followed by
the JV Boys. In the New Gym at 4:00 the
C Girls will play followed by the JV Girls.
Varsity Girls are scheduled to tip off at 6:15 in the New Gym flowed by
the Varsity Boys at 7:30. A bus will
leave Woonsocket at 2:30 with the C and JV Boys and Girls on it arriving at SC
at approximately 2:40. The varsity Girls
and Boys will leave Woonsocket at 4:30 and SC at 4:40.
Q 107 will
be broadcasting both varsity games and we are assuming that the games will be
on Hanson’s HS Cube. http://www.q107radio.com/

to all who participated in the St Charles KC Free Throw Contest held Sunday at
Sanborn Central. Congratulations to the following winners:
Girls: Age 10: Maddie Kempf, Age 11: Teya Moody, Age 12: Macey
Kempf, Age 14: Madi Moody; Boys: Age 9: Trey Moody, Age 11: Noah
Wormstadt, Age 12: Mason Moody, Age 13: Tater Moody. These shooters
advance to the District contest, which will be held on February 14th
at the Nordby Center in Huron at 1pm.
Winterguard
will practice at SC today.
The
One-Act play will perform at 9:00 am at the Huron High School on Wednesday,
January 27th. You will be
leaving at 7:30 am. The cast consists of
Tyler Johnson, Breanne Brandenburg, Koby Larson, Cole Moody, Renee Farmer, and
Madi Moody. The crew consists of
Catherine Bechen and Byron Jessen. BREAK

The
menus for the week will just advance one day with no Cowboy Cavatini. Thursday – Pizza and Friday Taco Burger

Blackhawks Winterguard would like to invite you to their Send-Off Show Saturday
1pm at Sanborn Central. Get a chance to see them perform before they take it to
the competition this weekend in Minneapolis!!
ACADEMICS
A
representative from Minnesota West will be here tomorrow at 11:30 to meet with
anyone interested.

It is
time once again to nominate your favorite teacher for the 2016 Sanborn Central
"Teacher of the Year". The nomination form is available in the
office or on our website by following this link:
Nominations
must be in by 4:00pm on February 29, 2016.
ATHLETICS
The 3/4
girls bb team will have a couple of scrimmages with Wessington Springs this
Thursday Night in Woonsocket. We will play at halftime of the JH game
(approx. 5:30) and at halftime of the JV game (approx. 6:15pm) Please have
the players to Woonsocket by 5pm. Have the girls wear any Blackhawk shirt
that is black in color and some basketball shorts.
There
will be a 3/4 girls bb round robin scrimmage on Saturday, Jan. 30th in
Woonsocket with Iroquois and Wolsey-Wessington. We will begin at 10am
with SCW vs. Iroquois. Rest of schedule will be completed this
week. Please have the girls in Woonsocket by 9:45am. Again wear a Blackhawk
shirt of any kind that is black in color and some basketball shorts.
HEALTH
From the
Sanborn County Nurse - flu mist is available!!! If any parent is interested in the flu mist
for their child, please contact our office at 605-796-4510. It’s not too
late to receive the flu vaccination as we have not reached our peak this flu
season.
COMMUNITY
Save the date – Saturday, March 5th - Bean Bag Tournament
for all ages to raise money for Tanna's Believe Scholarship matching funds challenge.
Supper will be served. More details coming soon.
