The Scholarship Foundation has some exciting news!
They will be conducting a silent auction
for 2 sets of Dakota Wesleyan Sport Passes (2 Seats). The auction
will end at noon on December 4th.

Academics
To accommodate for lost time, December 22nd we will have
a full day of school with Blue Semester Testing, December 21st will be Orange
Semester Testing, December 23rd we will dismiss at 11:00 for Christmas
Break.
Dakota Wesleyan’s Healthcare Professions Day, Thursday,
December 3rd.
We are inviting sophomore, junior, and senior
students and their families who are interested in pursuing a career in
healthcare. This visit day provides a brief introduction into nursing, athletic
training and pre-medicine and is intended to give students a real look into

Community
The Sanborn
County American Cancer Society’s 11th annual Tour of Homes will be
this Sunday, December 6 from 1 to 5. Houses featured this year are Andy
& Darla Beedle, Rod & Jane Marten, Gary & Karla Olson, and the
Country Pumper. The cost for the tour is $10.00. The Country Pumper
is providing the refreshments. Tickets, bios, and maps will also be
available at the Country Pumper from 12:30 to 5. Tickets may be purchased
in advance at the Express Stop.
FFA
Tyler, Trevor,
Trent, Garrett - We will leave for SD FFA State Leadership CDE’s at 11:30 a.m.
on Sunday. We will meet in Woonsocket since we are taking the Woonsocket
Minibus. We will return around 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Schedules for State FFA Leadership can be

Wessington
Springs FFA is hosting a Donkey Basketball tournament on December 4th at 7 p.m.
in the W.S. gym. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA will be taking on W.S.
FFA in the first round. Second round matches the W.S. staff against the FFA
alumni. The winner of each round will then face off in a championship
game. The community is welcomed and encouraged to attend and cheer on
their team. Advance tickets are $6, tickets at the door are $8, and
pre-schoolers get in free. All proceeds will be donated to the food
pantry. FFA Members, please talk to Mr. Gross if you are interested in
being on our FFA Donkey Basketball team. You must be older than 16 and
weigh less than 225 lbs.

delivery will be Dec. 8th at 7:30 a.m. It is a Blue Day
Junior
Class Fund Raising
The junior class will be starting their annual
fundraisers.
1. We will be selling 20 spots for our Basketball
Board. The cost for a spot on the board is $20. We will be
awarding $25 to winning spots at half-time of every girls and boys Varsity game
at Sanborn Central.
2. We will also have a silent
auction for the 2 parking spots closest to the back doors. You may start
bidding today. Bidders will be consistently notified of any changes. Bidding will stop when we leave for Christmas
Break – December 23rd at 11:00 am.
To participate in either activity, please contact Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us or
contact a student in the junior class. Registration for both will end by
Christmas break as our first game at Sanborn Central is January 2nd.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Woonsocket Parent Group is selling hats,
gloves, scarves. If you are interested in purchasing any – here is the
link to the order form. Orders are due next Wednesday, December 2nd
SHOOTING SPORTS
The 2016 4-H
Shooting Sports season will begin with a sign-up/safety night on Monday,
December 7th. We will complete sign-up/registration, get
information out, questions answered, and safety training done for the majority
of the shooters prior to us starting our regular practices. The
