Blue Day – Tutoring

It’s Christmas Concert Day at Sanborn Central!  Band rehearsal schedule is: 5^th Band 8:30, 6^th-7^th (Devin G) Band 10:23, 6-12^th Band 12:10    Vocal rehearsal schedule is:  12:30-12:50 2nd-4^th, 12:50-1:10 PK-4^th, 1:10-1:30 PK-1^st, 1:30-1:50 PK-12^th, 1:50-2:20 7th-12^th, 2:20-2:50 5th-6^th, 2:50-3:15 All State

The Christmas Concert will be aired on our Santel Channel 107.

Eligibility grades and MS Updates are due at noon today.  Please let the office know when you are posted!

Ms. Johnson isn’t here today – no counseling!

High School Girls and Boys will practice at Woonsocket today.

Lost a Tommy Hilfiger hat. It is navy blue with red yellow and white pinstripes and a ball on the top.  If seen, please bring to Mary.

Academics

To accommodate for lost time, December 22nd we will have a full day of school with Blue Semester Testing, December 21st will be Orange Semester Testing, December 23rd we will dismiss at 11:00 for Christmas Break. 

Hats off to the SC MS students.  Our report shows that you are using the parent portal to check your grades and for missing assignments.  This quarter the MS students have logged on to their portal accounts over 1,000 times.

Athletics

Bailey Moody is offering a 5/6^th grade volleyball camp consisting of the fundamentals and basic skills of the sport.  A great introduction for all upcoming athletes!  She would like to keep the camp size at approximately 20 participants.  Cost is $25.00 with money being donated to the Sanford Children’s Castle. Due to SBA not having enough Boys out for Basketball, the following schedule will be used next Saturday at SBA on Dec. 12.  Girls JH- 12:30, Girls JV 1:45, Boys Varsity- 3PM, Girls Varsity- 4:30PM

December 14th should show both GB and BB JH @ Howard.

COMMUNITY

The Artesian Community Improvement Association will be holding their annual Ham drawing/Membership Drive on Friday, December 18th, 2015 at the Artesian Community Center. Supper will be served at 6:30. Drawings and a visit from Santa will follow! Membership dues are $20 a couple and go towards summer youth programs and community events.

Junior Class Fund Raising

PARKING SPOT BID IS CURRENTLY AT $75.00 and $50.00!  Come on Blackhawk Fans – front row spots on those nights when the Blackhawk gym is hot, but it’s so cold outside!!!!!! 

The junior class will be starting their annual fundraisers.

1.    We will be selling 20 spots for our Basketball Board.   The cost for a spot on the board is $20.  We will be awarding $25 to winning spots at half-time of every girls and boys Varsity game at Sanborn Central.

          2.  We will also have a silent auction for the 2 parking spots closest to the back doors.  You may start bidding today.  Bidders will be consistently notified of any changes.  Bidding will stop when we leave for Christmas Break – December 23^rd at 11:00 am.

To participate in either activity, please contact Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us or contact a student in the junior class.  Registration for both will end by Christmas break as our first game at Sanborn Central is January 2^nd.
