Congratulations to the students who represented us at the CBH Academic Fest so well!  Myah Selland placed 1st in Geometry!  The team placed 4th overall and 3rd in the Quiz Bowl Section.  10 Teams competed and placing for SC were Myah Selland 2nd in Algebra II; Devin Garrett 5th and Myah Selland 6th in Biology; Geometry Myah Selland 1st and Trent Kingsbury 5th; Devin Garrett 5th in World Geography; Sarah Morgan 5th in Algebra I; Shane Nelson 5th in American Government; Allysha Duffel 4th and Bailey Moody 5th in Chemistry I.

The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA attended the Lennox Career Development Events (CDEs) Tuesday. Here are the results of that event.  Ag Mechanics-10th place team of 28- Tate Ziebart -14th, Ty Swenson-15th, Ty Ziebart, and Aaron Stevens  (99 participants).  Agronomy-1st place team of 19 Jonathan Linke-1st, Aaron Linke-2nd, Nathan Linke-3rd, Bailey Schmiedt-14th, Tyler Johnson-32nd (65 participants).  Farm Business Management-4th place team of 14  Jarid Bechen- 5th, Dillon Moore-10th, Garrett Larson-17th, Garrett Dean-27th, Trevor Olson (43 participants).  Horse Judging-9th place team of 25 Catherine Bechen-8th, Sydney Zeller-39th, Ashlynne Terkildsen  (75 participants).  Meats-4th place team of 11 Riley Schmiedt-13th, Wyatt Feistner-21st, Drew Olinger-17th, Charlie Enfield-25th (38 participants).  Natural Resources-11th place team of 31 Trent Kingsbury-48th, Shaun Snedeker-49th, Jared Goldammer-50th, Cody Ruml-63rd, Shay Swenson  (111 participants).  Veterinary Science-Callie Bezpaletz-52nd, Tristan Ziebart, Colton Hotchkiss , Abby Doering, Alissa Ball (118 participants)

Once again, Farmers Union Insurance Agency agents are funding the "Insuring a Brighter Tomorrow" Scholarship Program for the graduating class of 2015. This program, through the Farmers Union Foundation, provides twenty five (25) $1000 scholarships to students who choose to pursue their post-secondary education at a South Dakota college, university, or trade/technical school.  Further information can be accessed at www.sdfufoundation.org or obtained from Mrs. Whitney

The South Dakota Department of Education and SDMyLife will be hosting an ACT Test Prep webinar for students and parents. This one hour webinar will begin at 7:30pm CST on Wednesday, April 8th. It will include what students need to know about the ACT, a study timeline, an overview of the test format and helpful strategies for test questions. Attached is a flyer you may use to promote the webinar. Individuals may join the evening of April 8th by going to www.sdmylife.com/students. The Annual Artesian CIA Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 4th at 10am at the Artesian Community Center.  All are welcome.  Rumor has it the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance!

Artesian First Lutheran Ladies will having their annual Easter bake sale on Saturday, April 4th at the Artesian Community Center from 9:30 am –11:00 am.  Rolls, coffee and hot chocolate will be served. Come and let us do your Easter baking for you. The bake sale will be held in conjunction with the CIA Easter Egg Hunt.
