Good Luck to the Lady Blackhawks as they face off with DeSmet tonight at 6:30 in Brookings. We will have a pep rally at 2:45 today in the gym – BLACKHAWK FEVER!!!!! It has been brought to our attention that KOOL 98 WILL NOT BE BROADCASTING our game tonight!!!!!!
There will be a room reserved at Buffalo Wild Wings for the Girls BB team/parents/fans after the game Friday in Brookings. Barry Selland and Dan Swenson will be treating the players/cheerleaders/coaches to dinner. Everyone is invited to come and join. Go Blackhawks!!
There will not be a fan bus going to Brookings.
The Boys Blackhawks advanced to the district championship game with an 87-71 win over JVC last night. JVC has some very quick guards and continue to come after you so no lead was safe. Different players stepped up to make a big play for us at different times in the game which is what it takes to win games in the postseason. The boys realize to win a championship we have to go through #1 Wolsey-Wessington but our schedule has prepared us. It will be a physical battle but we are ready for the challenge. Soccer registration sheets are due back today. Yesterday we were informed that the invitation to play would be extended to the pre-school students. Due to the time frame, we will accept pre-school forms yet on Monday. A form was sent home yesterday, and can be found at

Looking for something to do on Sunday, March 8th? Attend the Kevin Schwader Benefit at the Howard Armory. It starts at 11:00 with a free will pork loin dinner including chips, beans, and a drink. There will be a silent auction and a live auction - so lots of fun will be had! Kevin is the husband of Ashley (Muller) Schwader. The benefit will help Kevin with medical expenses. The spring/summer 4-H Teens As Teachers program is now accepting registrations. The deadline to register for training is March 23rd.This is an exciting opportunity for teams of 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students to take a lead making a difference in their community while utilizing engaging curriculum to teach others! Teens who complete the program are also eligible to apply for a scholarship to be utilized at the postsecondary institution of their choice.
