Gone to Lennox CDE’s today are Aaron S., Catherine B., Dillon M, Tyler J, Cody R, Trent K, Garrett D, Jarid B, and Trevor O.  Mr. Gross’s Ag classes will report to Vickie’s study halls – you do have an assignment.  8th Ag will report to Mrs. Vermeulen – she has your assignment!  Seniors – thank Mr. Gross – you have privileges!
8th grade will be taking their science test at 8:15 today.  5th grade will also be testing today.
Students 5-8 will have their vocal contest today during their chorus periods.  6th chorus will report to study hall with Mrs. Farmer at 1:53.  7/8th will report to Mrs. Vermeulen at 2:39 for a study hall.  MS Students participating are: Alexis K, Chloe S, Cassidy S, Lucy N, Amber S, Renee’, Adriana, Dakota, Madi, and Samantha and may stay in the music room.
Ms. McClane is gone today – No Speech!!!

The South Dakota Department of Education and SDMyLife will be hosting an ACT Test Prep webinar for students and parents. This one hour webinar will begin at 7:30pm CST on Wednesday, April 8th. It will include what students need to know about the ACT, a study timeline, an overview of the test format and helpful strategies for test questions. Attached is a flyer you may use to promote the webinar. Once again, Farmers Union Insurance Agency agents are funding the "Insuring a Brighter Tomorrow" Scholarship Program for the graduating class of 2015. The Annual Artesian CIA Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 4th at 10am at the Artesian Community Center.  All are welcome.  Rumor has it the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance!

Artesian First Lutheran Ladies will having their annual Easter bake sale on Saturday, April 4th at the Artesian Community Center from 9:30 am –11:00 am.  Rolls, coffee and hot chocolate will be served.  Come and let us do your Easter baking for you. The bake sale will be held in conjunction with the CIA Easter Egg Hunt.

Blue Day – Homework Club meets today!
Happy Birthday June 30th to Emma Schmidt!
Congratulations to the Blackhawks Winterguard on a job well done this season!!! At Championships on Saturday, they scored a 66.6, which is about a 7.5 point increase from last competition.
The team was awarded the High Unit GPA Award for having the highest cumulative GPA out of all the teams that competed in the North Star Circuit this year.
U6/U8/U10 will have soccer practice after school until approximately 5:30.  Players –meet in the commons without your cleats on!!!!
Juniors will be taking the D-Step Science Test today at 12:30 with Mrs. Moody.   The 5th grade will be taking their science test today also.
Mrs. Ischen is gone today – Mr. Olsen will have her study hall during Music Block.

Boys Basketball Uniforms need to be turned into Mr. Rick Olsen this week.  Varsity players need to bring their pant warm-ups also.  You can bring them to the office if Mr. Olsen isn’t here.

Artesian/Letcher Baseball and Softball Sign-Up

We are trying to get numbers for our summer ball programs. Completing the registration will allow us to see how many teams we may be able to field this year, this doesn’t guarantee that we will have all age groups.  The maximum age for a boy is 12 years old on May 1, 2015. The groundbreaking for the expansion of the Letcher Community Center and Fire Hall will be at 5 pm Saturday March 28 In Letcher.  Lunch will follow at 6:15 and the annual Poker Tournament for the  Letcher Volunteer Fire Department (fundraiser) will begin at 7 pm.  Everyone is welcome to all of the events .
