Congratulations to the Blackhawks Winterguard on a job well done!!! The Blackhawks Winterguard competed at their very first competition ever this weekend. We learned a lot on how competitive Winterguard in the North Star Circuit works and are excited to bring an even better performance to the next competition. - Mr. Kroeger    We are so proud of Senior Captain Amberiah Smith, Junior Captain McKenzy Peterson, Corporal Captain Breanne Brandenburg, and team members Renee Farmer, Adriana Salas, Josie Weber, Brooklyn Swenson, Kaylee White, and Megan Linke. The Blackhawks host Ethan today at Sanborn Central and it will be a FANtastic night!  The JV Girls tip off at 4:00 followed by the JV boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys!  (Ogle/R Moody)
There will be pep band at tonight's game. Student's need to be ready by 6pm.
You are invited to support the students making the DC trip this summer.  They are hosting a Ham/Cheese Sandwich & Chili Feed during the games tonight.  A free will donation for a sandwich, soup, dessert and drink is all that it will cost you.  Proceeds will be split equally between the participating students.  Thank You for your Support!
SC Booster Club appreciation/dues night is tonight.  Sign up for concession stand give aways!  Pay your $20 dues for the year, if you haven't already!  Thanks for supporting the SC Booster Club!

We want to remind parents of students riding the bus to please call the bus line 605-495-4186 or send notes to school for any changes. Mrs. Whitney has sent a letter home with students.  We ask for your understanding as we try to provide our students with transportation to and from school. The Sanborn Central School District has the following vacancies for the 2014-2015 school year:
**Regular Bus Route Driver – Position open immediately. Open until filled. (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
**Substitute bus drivers for the 2014-15 school year.  (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
Application Form is available on the district website or can be picked up in the office of the Superintendent and will be taken until positions are filled.

Just a reminder that the forms for Teacher of the Year are due in the office on March 6th:
Reminder:  Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking chaperones for the SD FFA State Convention in Brookings in April.  So far Mr. Gross has only heard from one parent.  Even if you have talked to me, please email to reconfirm!  There must be 1 chaperone for every 10 students.
Note: The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking individuals interested in being a coach for FFA CDEs(Career Development Events).  Students have signed up for the following CDE areas: Ag Business Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Agronomy, Vet Science, Natural Resources, Meats, Milk Quality and Products, Horse Evaluation, and Floriculture.  If you are interested in helping in some way or have any questions, please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us. The Glass Slipper 2015 date is confirmed!! Saturday, February 21st from 9am to 3pm at the Wesleyan Church on 6th and Sanborn!! Any Prom dresses, shoes, or jewelry donations can be dropped off at the church office Monday-Friday between 9am and 4pm. More info to come soon! We will be collecting at Sanborn Central also.
