The Winterguard Parent Preview will begin tonight at 8:30pm and go to 9pm.  Scholarship Show is this Saturday Jan. 31st 6pm @ Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Boys are at Woonsocket and girls at Sanborn Central today.

Visitation for Clyde (Buck) Ross will be held Friday, January 30th from 6:00-8:00pm at Bittner Funeral home.  Services will be Saturday at 11:00 at First United Methodist Church in Mitchell.  The family has asked that anyone attending wear Ram/Rebel/Blackhawk colors to show where your connection with Buck is.

The Lady Blackhawks defeated Springs last night 54-26. Leaders were: Myah Selland 22 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals; Morgan Selland 14 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals; and Tayla Weber 3 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.  The JV won 30-16 with:   Abby Doering scoring 10 points and 3 rebounds; Tristan Ziebart  10 points, 4 steals, and 2 assists; Sarah Morgan  4 points and 5 rebounds; and Megan Kleppin  4 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals

Tomorrow the JV Boys are in the CBH tournament at Plankinton.  They play Bon Homme at 9:00.  The games that are played in Mt. The 7/8th Girls are playing in the CBH Tournament at Plankinton tomorrow.  They play Mt.V/P at 10:00.
There will be Little Blackhawk basketball camp tomorrow at 10:00 at Sanborn Central.

SC Booster Club appreciation/dues night on Monday during all basketball games with Ethan. Free popcorn all night!  Sign up for concession stand give aways!  Pay your $20 dues for the year, if you haven't already!  Thanks for supporting the SC Booster Club!

We want to remind parents of students riding the bus to please call the bus line 605-495-4186 or send notes to school for any changes. The Sanborn Central School District has the following vacancies for the 2014-2015 school year:
**Regular Bus Route Driver – Position open immediately. Open until filled. (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
**Substitute bus drivers for the 2014-15 school year.  (District will pay for physical and CDL tests.)
Application Form is available on the district website or can be picked up in the office of the Superintendent and will be taken until positions are filled.

Reminder:  Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking chaperones for the SD FFA State Convention in Brookings in April.  So far Mr. Gross has only heard from one parent.  Even if you have talked to me, please email to reconfirm!  There must be 1 chaperone for every 10 students.

Note: The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking individuals interested in being a coach for FFA CDEs(Career Development Events).  Students have signed up for the following CDE areas: Ag Business Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Agronomy, Vet Science, Natural Resources, Meats, Milk Quality and Products, Horse Evaluation, and Floriculture.  If you are interested in helping in some way or have any questions, please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us. The Glass Slipper 2015 date is confirmed!! Saturday, February 21st from 9am to 3pm at the Wesleyan Church on 6th and Sanborn!! Any Prom dresses, shoes, or jewelry donations can be dropped off at the church office Monday-Friday between 9am and 4pm. More info to come soon! We will be collecting at Sanborn Central also.
