The Boys Blackhawks defeated #2 ranked Hanson 71-55. Helping the cause: Joe: 1 steal; Dillon 9 pts, 5 rebs, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block; Tucker: 15 points, 5 rebs, 9 assists; Josh: 21 points, 2 rebs, 1 assist; Jarid: 15 points, 5 rebs, 1 assist, 2 steals; Garrett L: 4 pts, 1 reb; Brady: 7 pts, 7 rebs; Rex: 1 assist. Field goals 24/46= 52%; FT: 18/27 = 67%. Rebounding advantage was 25-15. Coach Olson’s comments, “I feel our team defense the last two games has been very focused holding 2 high powered offenses well below their averages. Our defensive energy has given us offensive energy. Having all 5 starters close to double figure scoring says a lot about our unselfish sharing of the ball.”

Break a Leg One-Act Play Cast and Crew – Leah B, Breanne B, Allysha D, Tyler J and Mrs. Danek as they participate in contest tomorrow in Huron. They will leave at 11:30.
Ms. Senska will be leaving at 2:00 today – 6th vocal will have study hall in the art room with Mrs. Vermeulen at 1:53. 7/8th Vocal will have study hall at 2:39 with Mrs. Vermeulen in the music room. Bring plenty to work on.
If 8th grade Ag students do not have a project and materials to work on during shop time by February 4th, they will start to lose points. This is due to working on small projects to assist upcoming benefits. Mr. Gross

Reminder: Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking chaperones for the SD FFA State Convention in Brookings in April. So far Mr. Gross has only heard from one parent. Even if you have talked to me, please email to reconfirm! There must be 1 chaperone for every 10 students.
