Blue Day – Tutoring
The Boys host Hanson today at Sanborn Central.  C-Team tip off is 5:15 followed by JV and Varsity.  The Pep Band will play tonight.  KOOL 98.3 will be broadcasting live from the gym. http://kool98.com/ and Santel Channel 107 will be broadcasting live!
Tonight is also the kick off for our Believe Scholarship fund raising efforts.  Events for the evening will include a sandwich supper meal (Ham/Cheese), grab bag auction, and silent auction.  

Some of the silent auction items are: Purses; Candle and flower swag; MJ Aviation flight for 2 around Sanborn Co. -- $400 value;  Artesian Seed Service package;  Garden products package--Wanda Effling; Lawn fertilizer--Aurora Co Op; 3 bags seed corn--Wensman Seed; 1/4 beef-- Rob & Melissa Baruth with more coming in by the minute.

The Lady Blackhawks lost to Hanson yesterday 35-50.  Leaders were Myah Selland 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists; Morgan Selland 7 points; Tayla Weber 6 points
Winterguard will practice at SC tomorrow from 8:30-10:30 (Renee F, Breanne B, and Adriana S)
We wish nothing but the best to our One-Act Play cast and crew – Leah B, Breanne B, Allysha D, Tyler J and Mrs. Danek as they participate in contest tomorrow in Huron. They will leave at 11:30.

If 8th grade Ag students do not have a project and materials to work on during shop time by February 4th, they will start to lose points.  This is due to working on small projects to assist upcoming benefits.  Mr. Gross

Reminder:  Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking chaperones for the SD FFA State Convention in Brookings in April.  So far Mr. Gross has only heard from one parent.  Even if you have talked to me, please email to reconfirm!  There must be 1 chaperone for every 10 students.

Note: The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA is seeking individuals interested in being a coach for FFA CDEs(Career Development Events).  Students have signed up for the following CDE areas: Ag Business Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Agronomy, Vet Science, Natural Resources, Meats, Milk Quality and Products, Horse Evaluation, and Floriculture.  If you are interested in helping in some way or have any questions, please contact Mr. Gross at shane.gross@k12.sd.us.
