Students in grades 9-12 will leave tomorrow at 12:30 to attend the Todd Becker Assembly in Woonsocket.  A program will be held tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm for the public.  This would be a great parent/child event to attend.  The assembly tells the real life story of the decisions Todd Becker made that ultimately ended his life. Choice by choice and decision by decision, the message focuses not simply on the one night of drinking turned tragic, but more importantly, the seemingly innocent steps Todd took that led him into the grave all too early.  Based off the scripture Matthew 7:13, the assembly illustrates the two choices we are all faced with - the choice between the wide road or the narrow road: “The highway to destruction is wide and the road that leads to it is easy for the many who choose this way. But the gateway to life is small and the narrow road that leads to it is hard, but only a few ever choose this way.”

More information regarding this assembly/foundation can be found at http://administrators.toddbecker.org/about.html

A parental opt out for the Todd Becker Assembly (if you do not wish your child to attend) can be found in our Forms & Publications Folder - Google Drive - Miscellaneous
The Blackhawk Boys BB team earned a tough 68-65 victory over a team that is favored to win their region in Hitchcock-Tulare.  Helping the cause were:  Jarid Bechen—16 pts, Joe Davis—5 pt,  Dillon Moore—21 pt & 7 reb, Brady Tiede—8 pt & 6 reb,  Trevor Olson—3 pt & 2 assists,  Tucker Kingsbury—3 pt & 7 assists, Josh Feiner—11 pt & 3 assists, Garrett Larson—1 pt,  Rex Schlicht—2 reb.  FG  23-49  47%      FT  18-24  75%   Rebound advantage us 25-22      Coach Olson’s comments:  I thought our bench played a major role in us winning this game as we had a lot of adversity with missed shots, foul trouble, and Brady’s limited minutes after coming back from sickness.  We missed some shots we normally make after not playing a game in 16 days but I am very proud of the boys as all the guys competed hard against a top team at their gym. We are looking forward to a tough stretch of games ahead.  The JV team won their game to run their record to 7-1 with their only loss to Sioux Valley (4 pt) at the Salem Jamboree.  The Junior High boys also beat H-T by 10 points.
