Orange Day
Happy Birthday to Carlos Enriquez!
Good luck to the Blackhawk football team tomorrow at the Dome!  We play Gregory at 1:30.  Following the game there will be a celebration get together at the Old Lumber Company on the second floor (there is an elevator for those who need it) in Vermillion on Thursday starting around 5pm or whenever the game is over.  We will be serving pulled pork sandwich, chips, beans and some kind of salad.   There will be a free will donation box with a suggested price of $7.    The fans will be responsible for their own pop.  Water pitchers will be on all tables.    The address to the Old Lumber Company is 15 Court Street Vermillion.   There is a parking lot on the south side of the building.  The owner will block off some spots for the bus to park.

We are extremely proud of our Blackhawk Volleyball Team for a great season!

Winter Drumline audition packets are available. They are under the TV in the music room.

The SCW Blackhawks band will be having a feed/concert on Tuesday Nov. 18th. Donations will go to help fund the winterguard for their competitive season. All band students need to wear black socks and their white band shirt.

JH GBB will practice at Wednesday at today.  Reminder: Parents will need to get their daughter to Alexandria on Saturday for the tournament. Please have them there between 9:15 to 9:30.

There will be a pep rally for the football team today at 11:15 here at Sanborn Central.  Wessington Springs and Woonsocket students will be coming over for it and the team will leave right after for a practice at the Pentagon Field House.  The public is invited to attend.

The rules for State Tournament/Fans – has been uploaded to our Google Drive – Forms & Publications – Athletics.  Just a brief reminder – no signs – no banners – no human tunnels – no fans on the field – no noise making devices – no lasers!

Due to the pep rally today we will be adjusting the lunch schedule.  The HS/MS students will eat at 10:45 and the elementary will eat after the pep rally.

FFA T-shirt order deadline will be extended to Wednesday, November 12th. Please bring orders to the school to be given to Mr. Gross.

There will be no MS Homework Club or MS Updates due to no school Thursday or Friday.

Wessington Springs 5/6 BB game on Thursday has also been cancelled due to the Dome football game.

The FFA District CDE has been rescheduled for next Monday, November, 17th.

The Marching Band Concert in Woonsocket has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 18th.  The feed begins at 5:30 and the concert at 7:00.

Mrs. Danek is looking for actors and actresses for the One Act Play Competition.  As this is a competition you must meet the eligibility requirements.  If you are interested – see Mrs. Danek ASAP!

7-12 students interested in cheerleading for the basketball season should sign up on the sheets between the MS Lab and the Library.  You must be signed up by November 12th!

Need some new Blackhawk gear??  A group of students are planning to make a trip to DC in May of 2015.  This is a great way to help them raise the funds needed as well as to get a new shirt!  These would make great Christmas presents for parents, grandparents and kids. The site will run from Nov 3 to Nov 17 and the items should arrive at the school Dec 3rd. It's easy to place your order - just go to http://stores.blue84spirit.com/sd2603  For more information, please contact Tambi Wormstadt at mtwormstadt@santel.net or cell number at 770-3077 or Marci Farmer atmarci.farmer@k12.sd.us
