Plan to attend Rock Solid tonight at the Letcher Community Church at 615pm.  Shane Nelson will be providing the meal.  Rock Solid is open to any student in grades 9-12.  Hope to see you there!

Tomorrow we will be doing our last eligibility of the quarter.  Make sure that all your work is turned in!

Sophomores bring your computers to first period class on Friday as we will be updating SDMyLife from 8:20-9:00. Freshman will need their computers for second period as we will be updating SDMyLife from 9:40-10:20.

Tomorrow all grades need to be posted by noon as well as MS Updates and MS Homework Club.  Please let the office know when you are done posting.

HS Quarter grades need to be posted no later than 4:00 on Wednesday, October 22nd.

The Kimball/White Lake Volleyball team will be hosting their “Dig Pink Night” on Thursday, October 16th, starting at 4:00 pm.  There will be a Silent Basket Auction during the evening.  The concession stand will be offering a walking taco special for $5.00 with $1.00 going to the Aurora County/Brule County Cancer Fund.  Get your Pink On!

October 21st thru 24th Sanborn Central will be celebrating Character Counts week!  Information regarding the activities and dress for the week has been uploaded to our Google Drive – Forms and Publications – Miscellaneous Folder

What are you doing today???  Perhaps you should plan on attending  the 3nd annual Prairie View Care Center Pie Social and Silent Auction – Wednesday, October 15th from 2:00-7:00pm. Pie will be served starting at 2:00pm. Musical entertainment will start at 4:00pm. Guests are welcome to tour the facility and bid on silent auction items. The silent auction will close at 6:00pm. A baked potato supper will be served from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. PVCC employees will be having a chili cook-off during this event. Be sure to sample the chili and cast your vote for PVCC’s best chili.

Due this Friday PLEASE:  Influenza forms are available in the office.   We know that it is in Sanborn County and surrounding areas. We ask that we have the completed form no later than Friday, October 17th.  The flu clinic will be held on October 22nd beginning at 7:30am.  You can also find the necessary forms in our Forms & Publications tab – Google Drive – Flu/Immunizations folder   Parents/guardians are encouraged to come to the clinic to be with their children 11 years and younger when the vaccine is administered.

A flu shot clinic will be held in Artesian on Tuesday, October 21st from 11:30-1:00.  Contact Marla or Sue at 796-4510 for more information.

Crystalyx Cards are still being sold by Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA.  The cards are accepted at Forestburg Farmer’s Elevator, Stan’s in Alpena,  Amkota in Wessington Springs, and Carthage Farmers Elevator.  A big thank you from SC/W FFA to these local businesses for their support of this program and the FFA!

Information regarding the 5th Annual Mt. Vernon Wild Game Feed - Saturday, October, 25, 2014 - Serving starts – 6:30 p.m.  has been uploaded to our Google Drive – Forms and Publications – Community Folder.   Awards and Raffle Drawing to be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Mt. Vernon Gym on Main Street.  Proceeds benefit the Mt. Vernon Youth Wrestling Club which several of our younger students participate in.
