Happy Halloween!
Happy Birthday tomorrow to Clay Moody and Gayle Bechen!

Congratulations to the Lady Blackhawks………their efforts for the Dig Pink Night raised over $4,000 for the You’ll Never Walk Alone Foundation!  All students were entered into a drawing for a few Dig Pink T-shirts that were donated with Chayda J, Karly K, Amberlee H, and Allysha D being the lucky winners!
Halloween Party at the Letcher Community Center tonight from 6:00-9:00 pm. No Costume contest this year.  Activities include - Kids games, Movie for ages 8 and under, Haunted House (ages 9 and up), and a lights on haunted house for younger children.  Supper will be available for purchase.   

Trunk or treat will be happening from 6pm-7pm on Friday behind the Letcher community center during the Halloween party. This year the suggestion is that trick or trunk participants be businesses or people living outside the town of Letcher.  This way children can still enjoy the door to door trick or treating following their time at the Halloween Party.

Ms. Senska is gone to All State Chorus and there is no vocal today.
At 1:53 6th grade will report to study hall in the music room.  At 2:39 8th grade will report to study hall in the music room with Mrs. Vermeulen, 7th grade to Mrs. Farmer for study hall.
HS Vocal will report to the music room at 11:35 – seniors will have privileges.

Winterguard forms are due today.

Tune into PBS Saturday evening (11/1) at 7:00 to watch the live performance of the All State Chorus!

The Town-n-Kountry Blue Group will be hosting a Community Fire Safety Dinner - Sunday - November 2nd - 5:00 pm - Letcher Community Center.  A Free Will Offering will go towards the Fire Hall Expansion.  At 5:30 there will be a fire extinguisher demonstration.  Plan on attending and supporting the youth of our community!  More information can be found under our Forms & Publications Tab - Community Folder https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeVXZCakNDMF9FSDQ/view?usp=sharing

November is declared Citizenship month at Sanborn Central.  Show your citizenship by wearing purple on Wednesday, November 5th.

The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary and Legion are sponsoring the Veterans Day Banquet on Sunday November 9, 2014 at noon in the Artesian Community Center.  The cost of the meal is $10.00 for non veterans and veterans will receive a free meal.  If you plan to attend please pre register by November 4, 2014 by calling Laura Pearson at 605-495-4290.  We need to have a meal count to order the food.

5/6th Ball Change - Due to the Playoff football game Monday and a 6:00PM start time, the 5/6 BB games with JVC have been postponed to Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4:00PM.  These games have been changed to play at JVC.
Time Change – the football game on Monday, November 3rd in Springs will start at 6:00pm with Elkton-Lake Benton!
The Wessington Springs Athletic Boosters will be hosting a tail gate party prior to Monday night’s football game.  Hamburger, beans and chips for $5.00 will be served from 4:30 until 6:00 pm.
With the upcoming girls junior high basketball tournament on Nov. 15 we will be having basketball practice on Wednesday, November 5th in Woonsocket, Thursday and Friday at Sanborn Central with other practices to be arranged for the following week. Practices will last until 5 to 5:15.

Blue Day – Tutoring
Good Luck to our 5/6th ball teams as they host Ethan today at Sanborn Central.  The girls play at 6:00 followed by the boys.
We are excited for our all State Chorus members as they leave for Sioux Falls later today.  Breanne Brandenburg, Tamra Mann, Isaiah Kruger, and Shane Nelson – have a wonderful time!  Tune into PBS Saturday evening (11/1) at 7:00 to watch the live performance!
Varsity VB will practice at SC today.
HS FB will practice at Springs.
There is a Winterguard meeting in Woonsocket today right after school.  The standards document will need to be turned in by Friday Oct. 31st for those participating in Winterguard. I need to know how many people will be in Winterguard by this date so we can purchase floor drill. -Mr. Kroeger

The Town and Kountry Kids 4-h Club is seeking donations of old clothing that would be appropriate for zombie/monster costumes.  Because the clothes may have fake blood, dirt etc on it, it will probably not be returned.  We are also seeking monster/zombie/scary masks.  These will be returned after using them.  If you can donate anything, please contact Amy Moody at 770-6016 or at moodys@santel.net  Thank you for your help!
