JH team on the court followed by the JV and Varsity. It’s Parent Night! If you are unable to attend you can watch it
on Santel Channel 107. Tonight is also
the Booster Club Membership Drive.

Seniors – The Josten’s rep will be here late morning
tomorrow for your Senior Graduation Announcement and Cap & Gown orders.
Sophomores – The Josten’s Ring Man will be here for Class
Ring Orders late morning/early afternoon tomorrow.

posted as students and parents are checking the parent portal on a regular
basis.

This week the 5th grade will be trying out instruments. At
the end of the week, I will be sending home a packet of information about
beginner band. Next week Thurs Sep 11th,
Dave Williams will be in the Sanborn Central music room from 5pm to 6:30pm
selling/ renting instruments. Please mark this down on your calendar if your
student is going to be in band.
Reminder: There will be combined 8th-12th marching band
rehearsal at Sanborn Central on Friday from 8:30am to 10:45am.
The schedule for the JH/JV FB Jamboree in Mt. Vernon on

The football picture day is on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The envelopes sent to each school by Lifetouch to hand out
to each player had the wrong date-----Monday, Sept. 8 on them. Tuesday,
Sept. 9 is the actual day.
Blackhawk Athletics will be hosting “Be Bold, Wear Gold” nights during
the month of September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Come cheer on the Blackhawks and wear GOLD at the Volleyball Game September 11th
and the Football Game September 26th to promote awareness! Gold
paper “chain links” will be sold and connected at both games. All proceeds will
go towards the fight against childhood cancer!
We will be doing one reorder of the Believe Volleyball
shirts. If you would like to place an order, they will be due on Friday,
Sept. 12th at NOON. The order form is still in our Athletic forms
folder – volleyball or contact Tracy Moody for your order at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us
Concession stand workers for Thursday, September 4th are: Valerie
Mann, Thad and Shawna Baysinger, Jeff and Melissa Wormstadt, Michelle Allum,
Jeremy and Tori Wels, Brian and Ashley Moe.
The list for concession stand workers this year has been
uploaded to our forms folder in the athletic tab. If you are unable to
work on your scheduled day, please find a replacement. Also, please notify
Tracy Moody at tracy.moody@k12.sd.us of
any changes so the schedule can be updated. Please try to be at the concession
stand at least 15 minutes before the start of the game. Workers are asked to
stay through all of the games. Every parent in grades 7-12 will be
on the schedule as the Booster Club contributes to all areas of our school, not

URGENT!!!! Substitute school bus drivers needed.
We need drivers to substitute occasionally for route drivers in the
morning and/or afternoon. Hours are approximately 6:15 - 8:00 in the
morning and about 3:00 - 4:30 in the afternoon depending on the route and
passengers riding. The pay is $30 per route or $60 for the day (both morning
and afternoon routes). The district will pay for expenses to get your CDL
with school bus and passenger endorsements that include a physical.
