Orange Day – Homework Club
Congratulations Lady Blackhawks – State Bound!!!!!!  We play Kimball/White Lake at 8:45 Thursday night.  More Tournament information is listed toward the end of our blog!

Congratulations to our youth wrestlers Tryce Slykhuis received a 4th place, Mason Moody a 3rd, and Cayden Slykhuis a 2nd at the District Youth Wrestling Tournament Saturday.  They will wrestle in Mitchell this coming Saturday in the regional tournament.

Congratulations to our Redfield CDE teams.  The Farm Business Management team placed 3rd (1 point behind second place) - Jessica Schmit-3rd place, Jarid Bechen-8th place, Cole Wormstadt-11th place, and Hannah Spelbring-17th place.  The Natural Resources team placed 3rd – Shane Nelson 11th, Cody Ruml 15th, Tom Hetland 16th, and Dillon Moore 20th.  The Floriculture team placed 9th with Haley Ruml 7th and Claudia Miller 20th.  Agronomy placed 10th with Garret Dean receiving a 26th place.  Blackhawk Proud!

It’s Band Concert night!   The band will leave here at 8:15 this morning and go to Woonsocket for practice. The Feed begins at 5:30 (Cheesy Hash browns and Ham) with the Concert beginning at 7:00.  The concert will be aired on Santel Channel 104, but hope to see you there!

FFA Members: We will LEAVE WOONSOCKET at 8:10 a.m. and SANBORN CENTRAL at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.  SANBORN CENTRAL- you will report to your 1st block class and then be dismissed at 8:25 a.m. to load the bus.  Please be ready ahead of time so that we can leave on time.  You will need a clipboard, at least 2 #2 pencils, a calculator and money to buy lunch. Official Dress is not required or suggested for these local events. Also, Ag Mech needs safety glasses, Floriculture needs scissors.

Gone on Tuesday to DeSmet CDE’s are: Kelbi D, Hannah S, Jessica S, Jarid B, Trevor O, Garrett D, Tyler J, Logan E, Cole W, Kelsey H, Claudia M, Leah B, Dillon M, Cody R, Shane N, Kasey V, Joe H, John B, Taylor W, and Haley R-D.  The bus will leave at 8:30.  Go to class and you will be excused at 8:25.

CTE’s for Wednesday have been postponed due to the Blackhawks going to the State Basketball tourney.

Due to the short week – there will NOT be ELIGIBILITY this week.  However, MS Updates, and Homework Club will need to be turned in by noon on Wednesday.

FFA Members: If you do not have an FFA jacket or yours no longer fits you need to talk to Mr. Gross or email him by March 13th.  You are REQUIRED to have an FFA jacket to attend State Convention.  You will not be allowed on the bus for State Convention without proper official dress.

State Tournament Info: 
Wednesday morning, at 8:45, we proudly send the Lady Blackhawks off to the State B’s from SC.  The public is invited to join us as we show our Blackhawk Pride!

Each Student Council will be picking a "Dress Up Day" for the State Tournament which we will share as soon as we get the info.  It has been determined that Saturday will be "Black-Out Day" - everyone dress in Black!

The Booster Club Hospitality Room will be over-flowing  with excitement and fellowship once again this year at the B’s. Thursday at 4:30 enjoy Sub Sandwiches, Chips, and Cookies.  Friday at 4:30 they will be serving Pizza, and Saturday with the time yet to be determined  they will be serving Meat, Cheese, and Fruit.

Order your State Tourney Shirts today!!!!  The first order will go in today and the final order will be placed at noon on Tuesday.

Fans attending the State Tourney – Pennants, Number 1 fingers, foam noodles, homer hankies, rooter poms, etc. will be permitted.

Tourney Fans Note: The balcony seats are for general admission for all spectators for all sessions.  The main floor bleachers are reserved for the spectators of the teams who are playing the game.  The bleachers will be cleared after each game during the tournament.

 Penny War Update – A huge, huge thank you to the students (and parents) who participated in my Penny War.  Each day as I counted the money, I was over whelmed with your generosity.  A total of $555.33 was raised for some new shelving in our library.  It was a very close battle with the Pre-Schoolers coming out on top with +2299 followed closely by the Seniors with +1386.  8th grade had +60, Kdg -24, 9th -170, 7th -218, 4th -266, 10th -291, 11th -343, 1st -1082, 6th -1190, 2nd -1446, and 3rd -2358
