The Varsity gals beat Ethan Monday night in a nail biter 57-56. Leaders: Myah Selland 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists; Marissa Weber 17 points; Shelby Selland 12 points and 5 rebounds; Morgan Selland 8 points
The Blackhawk Boys BB defeated #3 ranked Ethan Monday by a score of 74-72. Helping the cause: Jaedyn- 1pt, Davion-21 pt & 7 reb, Dillon- 12 pt, Tyler-17 pt, Tucker-17 pt & 6 assists, Brady-6 pt & 7 reb. FG 24-45 53% FT 21-25 81 % Ethan adv reb 27-23. Coach Olson’s comments: The whole team contributed to this win over a tall and talented Ethan team. Both teams were playing at a high level as both teams shot close to 50% FG and 75%FT. Ethan only had 8 TO and we had 6 TO. Players from both teams kept making big play after big play. As coaches we get caught up in the strategies, but from a fan’s perspective, that had to be a great game to watch. The boys record now stands at 11-2 and are currently ranked #5 in the state.
7th grade will not report to HS band today – they will report at 6/7th grade band time.
Jrs - please remember to bring your 2 dozen goodies to be made for plates to be sold at Thursday's game. We will have a bake sale with $5 plates at the game vs. Corsica Stickney next Thursday.
The Booster club will have member appreciation night on Thursday Feb 6th. There will be free popcorn for everyone and prize drawings thru the evening.
