Blue Day - Tutoring
We are so proud to announce that Shelby Selland is this week’s Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week.  Recipients are highly motivated high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community. Shelby will be featured on KSFY during the 6:00PM news on Thursday, February 13 and again on the KSFY morning news on Friday, February 14 between 6:00AM and 7:00AM. Good Luck to the Blackhawks as they host Iroquois in Woonsocket today.  The JHG tip off at 4:00, followed by JHB, VG, and VB.  You can watch on Santel Channel 104

The Little Cheerleaders will perform tonight.

SCW JO Volleyball team will be having a feed at the game tonight that will include Bosco Sticks served with Marina sauce and a bake sale starting at 5:30.  

There is optional pep band tonight in Woonsocket for the varsity games. Students that agreed to play are expected to be there.  8th graders that play get one free lesson grade. -Mr. Kroeger

Tonight you can get a bowl of Ice Cream with toppings of your choice including: Oreos, variety of syrups, whipped cream, M&M’s, and TONS of other stuff!!   $3 a bowl    Sponsored by the Junior Class.

Robin Moody’s team practices today at Sanborn Central.

Remember that there is no band for 5th grade and no lessons for anyone today.  Ms. Wenzel will have 7-12 band at regular time while you do your sectionals.  She will also have 6th band at their regular time to work on solos.

Stats from last night's varsity gals victory: Blackhawks  57  Bridgewater/Emery  35 Leaders:  Shelby Selland 27 points and 5 rebounds; Myah Selland  15 points, 4 rebounds, assists, and steals; Morgan Selland 5 points and 4 assists; Rachel Selland  6 points and 3 assists; and Marissa Weber  7 rebounds

There will be no vocal tomorrow.  HS students – Seniors have privileges, Gals to V Fox and Guys to T Moody.  MS is yet to be determined.

Thursday, February 13th will be “I Hate Winter Day” at Sanborn Central.  Dress for the day is school appropriate summer apparel for everyone PK-12th.  Summer Olympics at 2:45 for grades 9-12.

The juniors will be selling root beer floats for $1 at 3:00 on “I Hate Winter Day” until they run out for all students in grades 6-12!

Please turn in your Coborn's receipts for the months of November, December, and January by February 13th.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Friday, February 14th from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.  MS  & HS teachers will be available in the gym.  Students in grades 6-12 will receive bonus point for parents attending conferences, e-mailing, or calling teachers. Deadline to receive bonus points is the 21st for parental contact.  Mr. Kroeger and Mr. Olsen will not be available for conferences.  Ms. Wenzel will be here from 9:30-12:30. Feel free to contact any teacher by e-mail or phone.

Friday, February 14th a Soup and Sandwich Supper will be held at Highmore.  You can choose from 2 soups and 2 sandwiches, bars and a beverage for $6.  Sponsored by the Highmore-Harold Post Prom

          Woonsocket bus will leave at 11:45AM and pick up Sanborn at Noon.
