FFA Extra Sales: 1 Apple Sampler (8 braeburn, 8 golden delicious, 8 red delicious, 8 granny smith, 8 fuji)-$16, 1 box of granny smith (20 apples)-$10, 1 box of braeburn (20 apples)-$10, 1 #4- (6 grapefruit, 12 oranges, 8 braeburn apples, 6 pears)-$15, 4 boxes of beef sticks- $20. Woonsocket has a couple of cheese spreads ($6) as well as 6 boxes of beef sticks ($20). Butterbraids will be in on Friday and popcorn will be in this week as well. The Mitchell Jamboree as we have called it is training for refs. It will be held at the Corn Palace. Parents are welcome to attend, no video recording is allowed, shortened games, and some revised rules/regulations. They have asked us to remind everyone that this is training for the referees – not actual games. SCW Boys play at 9:30 in the armory and 10:55 in the Palace. Girls play at 10:15 in the Palace and 11:35 in the armory.
Junior High basketball will be played at SBA on the 14th – Noon JV Girls and JH Boys, 1:15 JV Boys and JH Girls, 2:30 Varsity Girls, and 4:00 Varsity Boys. A bus will be leaving from SC (10:30) with our players and one from Woonsocket.
December 16th is an Extra Help Day - as this is so close to the end of the semester – we are adding that students with an F will also be required to attend. The time line is Wednesday, December 11th at noon Mrs. Whitney and Mrs. Vermeulen will need a complete list of all missing assignments Students will be notified that they have missing work. Thursday, December 12th, along with the normal eligibility, homework, and updates – we need an updated list of missing work. Friday, December 13th, at 1:00 pm parents will be notified that a student will need to be here on Monday, December 16th from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. Students get your work turned in, check the portal, and make sure everything is up to snuff or we will see you the 16th!
Ideally, our new automated calling will call homes, send e-mails, call and text cell phones. This system automatically pulls information from Infinite Campus. If you are not receiving the messages, please let Mary or Mrs. Whitney know. mary.ackman@k12.sd.us
Did you notice the Angel Tree set up in the commons? This is a project of Tasha Moody. Feel free to grab a card and make someone’s holiday! Please have all gifts at the school no later than Thursday, December 12th as the delivery date is December 14th. With your gift please have the card you chose and the receipt for the gift. Do not wrap the gifts. If you would like to help spread the Christmas Cheer, but don’t have the time to come to school, your cash donation will be welcomed. Cash will go directly to the Angel Tree program. Gifts or cash will need to be brought to the office at Sanborn Central no later than December 12th as Tasha will pick everything up after the Christmas Concert. Please note that the time has changed in Letcher for the Bountiful Basket delivery. The truck arrives at 7:45 (Volunteer time) and pick up is scheduled for 8:45 (but you can always come early). Please note that this Saturday we are sharing the Community Center with the Santa's Last Stop Vendor Fair and with the time change we will be overlapping - we encourage everyone to be prompt on pick up if you are not volunteering.

The Artesian Community Improvement Association Membership Drive & Christmas Ham Drawing will be Saturday December 7th at 6:30pm at the Artesian Community Center. Lunch will be served, we will draw for gifts and Santa Claus will be there!
