Orange Day

Good luck to our Junior Honor Band participants (Adriana S, Sawyer S, Renee’ F, and Alex W) as they travel to Platte bright and early tomorrow morning.

Congratulations to the following for their 281 VB all-conference selections:  1st team: Marissa Weber, 2nd Team: Rachel Selland and Morgan Selland, Honorable Mention: Myah Selland.  We are Blackhawk Proud!

Sanborn Central is pleased to welcome the state FFA officers to our school this morning.

Mrs. Vermeulen and the Dakota players would like to congratulate and thank the crew and cast of “Campfire Tales” for two great performances!

The band will have combined practice this morning.

Marla will be here to do some health rechecks at 1:00 this afternoon.

Boys will have basketball at Sanborn Central this afternoon.

Girls will practice at Woonsocket today.

Mr. Kroeger is gone tomorrow – no band or lessons.  Seniors may have privileges.

Missing from the ag room – one of the parli pro timing watches. If found please bring it to the office.

Juniors will be selling Popcorn Balls at the Band Concert tomorrow night with proceeds going to this year's prom.  What better way to spend $4.00????

Tuesday Nov. 26th the Blackhawks Marching Band will hold a pulled pork feed and Indoor Marching Band Concert.  The Feed starts at 5:30 pm- suggested donation of $5 a plate.  The money raised will be help to pay for the new marching band shakos (hats) and plumes (feathers).  The Indoor Marching Band Concert will start at 7:00 pm.

Students need to wear white pep band shirt and their band uniform.

Sanborn Central families - per student $5 and a dessert, suggested is bars 9” x 13”

Please bring food to school: Tuesday morning Nov 26th - We will store it here until the evening.  The $5 is going to the purchase of pulled pork and buns. This should help cut down on time restraints in everyone’s hectic schedule. Please contact Mr. Kroger if there is a problem.

NEEDED: Parent Volunteers to work at the band supper Tuesday, November 27th.  Shifts are 5:30-6:15, 6:15-7:00, and then clean-up.  Contact Mrs. Vermeulen at connie.vermeulen@k12.sd.us

Mitchell Soccer Association is inviting boys and girls ages 8 thru 19 to join a traveling soccer team!!  Practice  starts Dec 1st and the season goes thru March 16th.  Registration fee is $125 which covers 3 tournament fees, including a Mitchell Tournament plus $40 for a jersey uniform for all new players.  These uniforms are used for all three seasons of soccer.  Registration forms can be picked up at Sungold Trophies in Mitchell.  Any questions please contact: Jodie Cain-Lambert, Mitchell Soccer Association

The LCDF (Letcher Community Development Foundation) will be making more Welcome Baskets to present to new residents of the Letcher Community. These baskets include such things as area cookbooks, gift certificates, business cards, business pens etc.  If you have any business cards or novelty items that you would like included in the Welcome Baskets please contact Angie Fridley at 605-770-9978 or 605-248-2447 by November 26th for this round.
