Football and volleyball practice at Sanborn Central today.

FFA Members-try on your FFA jackets to make sure that they still fit.  Let Mr. Gross know by Sept. 20th if your jacket no longer fits.

Band members – Be sure to wear black socks, ready to load the bus at 11:30, make sure you have shoes, instruments, banner, percussionists don’t forget your carriers and perspective drums tomorrow!

FFA Members:  For our upcoming tailgating fundraiser at next Friday's game against SBA, FFA Chapter Officers will need to bring 5 lbs. of BBQ already cooked and prepared as BBQ.  Please have it to the school by Thursday.  Also, every chapter member will need to bring either a pan of bars or cookies.  Starting Friday, there will be a sign up sheet in the Ag Room to choose what shift you would like to work.  This is a good fundraiser for us and participation in it is a part of your FFA participation agreement.  If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at shane.gross@k12.sd.us.

The School Spirit Club will be selling 4 beaded necklaces (one red, one blue, one black, one white) for $1 or you can purchase a decorated bandana and the four beaded necklaces for $5.  They will be sold on a first come first served basis until sold out. At Friday’s game – watch for a member of the student council selling balloons to be released during half time.  Cost will be $3 each or two for $5.00.  These yellow balloons are being launched in support of Tanna’s fight with Ewing Sarcoma.  Window painting – “Believe” or any variation - will be available for a mere $3.   All proceeds will be added to Tanna’s fund.
It's that time of the year to pay your Booster Club dues of $20.00.  Booster Club members will be set up at the homecoming coming with SBA on September 20th at Sanborn Central to collect dues.   Some of the projects funded by the Booster Club in the past include: Assistance with room air conditioning, Elementary Book It Program, Children’s Theater, assisted with Dig Pink Night, assisted Post Prom, State B Plaques and hospitality room, assisted with the purchase of the Ipads, Portable Basketball Hoops, new bathroom tiles, and T-shirts for honor students.  If you are unable to attend the game, but would like to pay your dues mail them to:

BREAKING NEWS:  When we do eligibility Thursday, September 19th, we will need a list of all missing assignments for HS students no later than noon.  Students will be notified Thursday afternoon, if the work isn’t turned in Friday morning – parents will be notified and you will be here Monday for the extra help day at 8:00 am.  You will stay until your work is done!  MS students – this applies to you also!

Mrs. Whitney received this from our state k12 Data center:  We would like to make you aware of a phone scam.  In this scam, the caller claims to be from Windows or another support company.  The caller will say your computer is having errors and that you need to visit a specific website to fix the issue.  These phone calls are a scam. Please warn your users to hang up if they receive a call like this.

A benefit for cancer survivor David Grassel will be held at the Artesian Community Center on Saturday, October 5th.  A bean bag tournament and a soup supper are part of the plans.  Be watching for more information soon.
