The MS Updates for the week of September 30th have been uploaded to the drive.
A document explaining today’s band trip has been uploaded to the music folder on the web site.  
If your student is in the 8-12 marching band, please remember to send $25 to the office to cover the cost of the black shoes and gloves.
With the marching band gone – there will be no band or lessons.  7th band will report to Mrs. Farrell-Poncelet and 6th to Mrs. Coulthard for study halls.

Seeds for the Cornbelt Volleyball Classic on Saturday have been determined.  We play Bridgewater/Emery at noon with the bus leaving from Sanborn Central at 10:10

5/6th – Just a reminder that basketball is open to anyone that is interested at no cost.  Bring shoes, shorts, and a great attitude for practice Monday at Sanborn Central after school until 5:00.  Make sure that you have made arrangements for a ride home.
A new revised 5/6th basketball schedule has been distributed to all students and uploaded to the web site.
Schedule for health screening Monday is kindergarten at 8:30, 5th @ 12:30, and 8th at 2:00.
A signup sheet for girls and boys basketball cheerleading is hanging on the bulletin board by the library.  Grades 7-12 sign up by Oct 1st

September is designated as Be Bold – Wear Gold – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  Lynette K shared an awesome poster with us that can be found in our community folder on the web page.  It really makes one stop and think!

Saturday October 5th a fund raiser will be held at the Artesian Community Center for David Grassel. Dave was diagnosed with parasteal osteosarcoma in his right knee in December 2012. He has undergone chemo & a couple of surgeries- all proceeds from the event will go to help Dave & Melissa!   A Bean Bag Tournament will begin at 1:00 pm with a $40/registration per team.  Cash prizes will be given to the top two teams.  At 5:00 pm you can enjoy a Soup/Chili supper for a free will donation.  A gun raffle will also be held with the drawing the first weekend in November.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming Kingsbury Pep Rally/Benefit. The event will be held on Saturday, October 12 at the Sanborn Central gym in Forestburg. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. Tacos for Tanna will be served the entire evening with free will donations accepted. A pep rally will begin at 6:00. There will be a silent auction beginning at 5:00 and a live auction starting at 6:30. All monetary proceeds will be given to Tanna and her family to assist with medical expenses encountered during Tanna's battle with Ewing Sarcoma Cancer.  A reprinting of the original gray "TanDog" t-shirts can be ordered by contacting Connie Vermeulen at 495-4183 or connie.vermeulen@k12.sd.us or by using the order form found at www.sanborncentral.com. The due date for all t-shirt orders is Wednesday, October 2. You may also contact Dana Hohn or Jill Braun in Wessington Springs and Karen Krueger in Woonsocket for t-shirt order forms.
