Sanborn Central School District has the following vacancies for the 2013-2014 school year:

·         NEEDED IMMEDIATELY:  Head Volleyball Coach for the SCW Blackhawks

·         Part-time custodian to work school days from 3:00 - 7:00 starting August 21.  This person would get extra hours when we host athletic events.  Wage depending on experience.

From Melissa Wormstadt: Anyone interested in being a W/WS/SC Blackhawk football cheerleader needs to call or text 605-999-0703.

Attention W/WS/SC Blackhawk Football Players:  DSU Football Camp July 29-30 in Madison.  Taking a bus and will leave WS at 10:00, W at 10:15, and SC at 10:30 on July 29.  Should return about 7:00pm on July 30.
            *Full pads (Contact coach at your school to get necessary pads)

*Coach Kolousek will bring black pants and practice jerseys
 *Team will stay in air conditioned dorm rooms at DSU
 *Cost is $65 for each player
 *Booster Clubs from each school will donate money to alleviate as much of this cost as possible.

Players need to register for 9-man camp at: http://www.dsufootballcamps.com/summer-camps.cfm   Fill out all necessary information and choose “Overnight Camper - $65”.  E-mail or text Coach Kolousek at 605-461-8584 to let him know when you have registered.

Second- Two upcoming events that students may participate in:
Friday July 5th- Su Fu Du recruiting event in Sioux City, Iowa. Come see what it is like to travel with Su Fu Du followed by pizza afterwards!!!   Event is free.
Tuesday July 9th- Drum Corps International is coming to Sioux Falls. Program starts at 7:30pm. Prices starting at $12. Check here for more details- http://www.drumsf.com/

Sanborn Central Snack Pack Program:

Representatives from First Lutheran Church of Artesian, St. Charles Catholic Church of Artesian and Forestburg Lutheran Church met June 14^th and decided to start a pilot program called Sanborn Snack Pack Program at Sanborn Central School for the 2013-2014 school year.  Coordinators are: Nancy Sullivan and Tambi Wormstadt, First Lutheran Church, Mary Unterbrunner and Wanda Effling, St. Charles Catholic Church and Wanda Swenson and Dawn Rassel, Forestburg Lutheran Church.  Snack Packs will be sent home with qualifying school age students for weekend nutrition during the school year.  The Sanborn Central School has agreed to determine the number of bags needed and will distribute the bags at the school.  Informational letters about the program will be sent home to parents at the beginning of the school year along with a permission slip that must be signed prior to any student receiving a Snack Pack.  Businesses and individuals are encouraged to support the program through donations.  An account will be set up at CorTrust Bank.
