The GBB team will be attending a DWU camp July 15 & 16 in Mitchell.  Coach Baruth will be leaving Woonsocket at 8:45 and be stopping at the Country Pumper on his way to Mitchell if anyone needs a ride.  Here is the schedule:  https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeTldtc3ZrcHphR2s/edit?usp=sharing  

There will be a Baby Shower for Jenica and Patrick Bender on Sunday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Artesian Community Center. Jenica and Patrick are expecting a girl. They are registered at Walmart and Target.

There will be a Baby Shower for Elsie Klaas, daughter of Jacob and Emma (Amick) Klaas on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the Letcher Community Center.

Letcher Library will be reopening during the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and every other Saturday. On Tuesday nights (July 16, July 23, August 6) the Town and Kountry 4-H Club will host a reading night with activities, help young children check out books, and read stories to them from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Letcher Community Center. Everyone welcome.

Mr. Kroeger will be around in July to give lessons if anyone is interested. People looking at switching instruments or that want to join band this fall need to take some lessons before school starts. Tan-Dog's Team Basketball Camp hosted by Jill (Young) Sargent and Clint Sargent will be at the Sanborn Central Gym on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.  Grades 4-8 are from 4:00pm – 6:00pm and Grades 9-12 are from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.  Cost is a free will donation.  Here is the link to the registration form found in the “Forms and Publications” tab on the Sanborn Central webpage:  https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxqWDgwTHOqeTkNjM3dMN1AtNWM/edit?usp=sharing

Sanborn Central School District has the following vacancy for the 2013-2014 school year:
·         Part-time custodian to work school days from 3:00 - 7:00 starting August 21.  This person would get extra hours when we host athletic events.  Wage depending on experience.

Blackhawk Football:
·         Attending DSU team football camp @ Madison – July 29-30        
·         Leave times (will be taking a bus)
o   WS – 10:00 am
o   Woonsocket – 10:15 am
o   Sanborn Central – 10:30 am
·         We should return about 7:00 pm on July 30
·         Full pads (contact coach at your school to get necessary pads)
o   Coach Kolousek will bring black pants and practice jerseys
·         Team will stay in air conditioned dorms on DSU campus
·         Cost is $65 for each player
o   Booster clubs from each school will donate money to alleviate as much of this cost as possible
·         Registration – each player needs to follow steps below to register:

o   Under Event Search – choose Football and South Dakota
o   Scroll down and click on:

o   Fill out necessary information
§  Choose  “Overnight Camper- $65.00”
