From Mr. Gross: Sanborn Central FFA members are currently selling Crystalyx discount cards through the Earn to Learn program. Each card saves the producer $40 on 1 ton of Crystalyx Brand Supplements. In return, the producer pays the FFA member $20 for each card. This money stays with our local FFA chapter to support our agricultural education program and chapter activities. To purchase a card, speak with any Sanborn Central FFA member. We will also be selling the cards at the Forestburg Farmers Elevator producer supper on Wednesday, October 24. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at shane.gross@k12.sd.us. Thank you for your support and good luck with harvest!

REMINDERS:

The South Dakota Department of Health will again be offering free seasonal influenza vaccine to all children 6 months through 18 years of age. A flu clinic for school-age children will be held at Sanborn Central on Wednesday, October 31 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The state is supplying the vaccine free of charge and there will be no administration fee at the school-based clinic. If you have any questions, please contact the Community Health Office at 605-796-4510. Consent forms are due to the school by Friday, October 26, and can be found in the Flu folder at the following Sanborn Central Google Drive link:

Sanborn Central requests that every student 2nd grade and below be accompanies by a parent. If your child is one who doesn’t like shots, regardless of age, it is suggested that you accompany them. They need to keep the line running smoothly so that everyone has a chance to be immunized.

The Sanborn Central 7-12 band students will be selling frozen foods starting now through Wednesday. The money raised will help them go on band trips in the years to come. Contact a band member to purchase or for more information.
