Wednesday, August 29 – No practice
Thursday, August 30 – Team scrimmage at Woonsocket game field – 5:30 p.m.
Monday, September 3 – No practice
Tuesday, September 5 – JH game (no 6th) vs. K/WL at Woonsocket game field – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 5 – Practice at Woonsocket (no 6th)
Thursday, September 6 – Practice at Woonsocket
Saturday, September 8 – Jamboree at Kimball – 9:00 a.m. (as of right now, no 6th)
 
A message from Jostens to the parents of Sophomores regarding ordering class rings: Jostens had a special class meeting on Tuesday, August 28. Please ask your sophomore about it. Jostens will be at school on Wednesday, September 5 to show sophomores the latest ring styles and help them order their personalized Sanborn Central High School class ring. Be sure to bring your completed order form from our Ring Designer (found at www.jostens.com) or packet and your $60 deposit. If you need a Ring Design Kit, they are available in the school office. If you have any questions, please call our office at 605-336-3990 between 10:00 and 4:00. Thank you very much.

TODAY (WEDNESDAY):
 
The first eligibility and Homework Club of the school year will be calculated today.
 
Football practice – Woonsocket 4:00 – 6:15 p.m.
 
Volleyball practice – Sanborn Central 3:30 – 5:45 p.m.

THURSDAY:
 
Thursday is School Pride Day. Everyone should dress accordingly.
 
Sanborn Central will NOT be dismissing early on Thursday for the Fair.
 
The JH football players will have a team scrimmage on Thursday in Woonsocket starting at 5:30 p.m.
 
The Lady Blackhawks have volleyball games against Ethan at Sanborn Central on Thursday. The JH girls will start at 5:15 p.m., the JV girls at 6:30 p.m. and the Varsity girls around 8:00 p.m.
 
Rebel Booster Club concession stand workers for Thursday are Kev and Lynette Kingsbury, Greg and Darcy Feiner, and Tracey Steele.
 
Football practice – Sanborn Central 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
 
All FFA members (excluding officers) need to bring a pan of bars (pre-cut) or cookies by Thursday afternoon for the tailgate supper on Friday.

FRIDAY:
 
No school on Friday.
 
No volleyball practice on Friday.
 
Sanborn Central’s FFA will be hosting a Tailgate supper on Friday night starting at 6:00 p.m. (Any FFA member that is available to come to the game Friday should be there no later than 5:45 to assist.)
 
Q107 Radio will be broadcasting Friday night’s game.
 
Due to so many students attending/showing at the SD State Fair on Friday, the Pep Band will not play for Friday night’s game.
 
It’s Parents Night for all football players on Friday night. Team members and their parents will be introduced before the start of the game at approximately 6:45 p.m.
 
The WWSSC Blackhawks play football against Kimball/White Lake on Friday night at Sanborn Central starting at 7:00 p.m.
 
Booster Club concession stand workers for Friday night are Barry and Shelly Selland, Nick and Wynette Vorhees, and Perry and Tracy Moody.
 
Sanborn Central football parents will be hosting a supper for the WWSSC football players following the game.

MONDAY:
 
No school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
 
Volleyball practice – Sanborn Central 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
 
Football practice (no 6th grade) – Woonsocket 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
 
Cheerleading practice – Sanborn Central 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

TUESDAY:
 
The JH/JV (no 6th) football teams have games on Tuesday against Kimball/White Lake at Woonsocket starting at 4:30 p.m.
 
The 5/6th girls and boys have basketball practice at Woonsocket at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
 
The Lady Blackhawks have volleyball games at White Lake on Tuesday. The C game starts at 5:15 p.m., the JV game at 6:30, and the Varsity game when they’re finished. The player bus will leave from Sanborn Central at 3:45 p.m.
