SANBORN CENTRAL e-NEWS
 
Good luck to the Lady Blackhawks tonight on their first volleyball games of the season.
 
The JV football team beat Hanson, 18-0, last night. No other stats were available.
 
The Punt, Pass & Kick Competition has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Wessington Springs at the football field. More information will be made available soon.

TODAY (TUESDAY):
 
The Jostens representative will be at the school today at 12:45 p.m. to meet with Seniors, then Sophomores.
 
High school students with Ag Class today need to come to school prepared to paint the bleachers.
 
The Lady Blackhawks have volleyball games against Hanson at Woonsocket tonight. The C girls will play at 5:15 p.m., the JV girls at 6:30 p.m. and the Varsity girls when they’re finished. The player bus will leave from Sanborn Central at 4:30 p.m.
 
Tonight is Volleyball Parents Night. Players and their parents will be introduced right after the finish of the JV game.
 
The volleyball games will be televised on Santel Cable Channel 104 tonight.
 
Football practice – Woonsocket 4:00 – 6:15 p.m.
 
Cheerleading practice – Woonsocket 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

THURSDAY:
 
Thursday is School Pride Day. Everyone should dress accordingly.
 
The first eligibility and Homework Club of the school year will be calculated on Thursday.
 
The JH football players will have a team scrimmage on Thursday in Woonsocket starting at 5:30 p.m.
 
The Lady Blackhawks have volleyball games against Ethan at Sanborn Central on Thursday. The JH girls will start at 5:15 p.m., the JV girls at 6:30 p.m. and the Varsity girls around 8:00 p.m.
 
Rebel Booster Club concession stand workers for Thursday are Kev and Lynette Kingsbury, Greg and Darcy Feiner, and Tracey Steele.
 
Football practice – Sanborn Central 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
 
All FFA members (excluding officers) need to bring a pan of bars (pre-cut) or cookies by Thursday afternoon for the tailgate supper on Friday.

FRIDAY:
 
No school on Friday.
 
No volleyball practice on Friday.
 
Sanborn Central’s FFA will be hosting a Tailgate supper on Friday night starting at 6:00 p.m. (Any FFA member that is available to come to the game Friday should be here no later than 5:45 p.m. to assist.)
 
Q107 Radio will be broadcasting Friday night’s game.
 
Due to so many students attending/showing at the SD State Fair on Friday, the Pep Band will not play for Friday night’s game.
 
It’s Parents Night for all football players on Friday night. Team members and their parents will be introduced before the start of the game at approximately 6:45 p.m.
 
The WWSSC Blackhawks play football against Kimball/White Lake on Friday night at Sanborn Central starting at 7:00 p.m.
 
Booster Club concession stand workers for Friday night are Barry and Shelly Selland, Nick and Wynette Vorhees, and Bob and Brenda Schmit.
 
Sanborn Central football parents will be hosting a supper for the WWSSC football players following the game.

No school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
